The good news is the world didn’t end last Saturday. The bad news is – at least according to one Doomsday writer – is we have a new date for the apocalypse.
David Meade is a Christian numerologist who predicted the world would end Sept. 23 after being struck by a rogue planet, called Nibiru or Planet X. Meade said his prediction was based on Biblical verses and codes that pointed to that date.
Saturday came and went without a cosmic collision and now, Meade said there’s a new Doomsday date: Oct. 15. Continue reading “Goofy-Ass Alert: Man who claimed world would end Sept. 23 has a new Doomsday date”
On Sunday evening, President Trump announced he would replace his controversial travel ban with a targeted list of restrictions that will enhance vetting for nationals from eight countries, and restrict or prohibit entry of citizens from North Korea and Venezuela among others, to the United States as part of a sweeping new travel ban that also slaps restrictions on Iran, Chad, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Somalia – countries that hardly have a “thriving” tourism industry with the US. Vandals left the messages “Racism: Tear it down” and “The future is racial and economic justice.” Continue reading “Militant Antifa Group Announces Nationwide ‘Deface Columbus Day’”

Today, the Washington DC Court of Appeals overturned a Superior Court conviction of a man who was located by police using a cell-site simulator, or Stingray, CBS Newsreports. The court ruled that the defendant’s Fourth Amendment rights were violated when law enforcement tracked down the suspect using his own cell phone without a warrant.
Stingrays work by pretending to be a cell tower and once they’re brought close enough to a particular phone, that phone pings a signal off of them. The Stingray then grabs onto that signal and allows whoever’s using it to locate the phone in question. These sorts of devices are used by a number of different agencies including the FBI, ICE, the IRS as well as policeofficers. David Meade, the self-described “specialist in research and investigations,” has earned a fair amount of publicity online for predicting that catastrophic events would soon befall Earth.
Among his claims: On Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, a constellation — a sign prophesied in the Book of Revelation — would reveal itself in the skies over Jerusalem, signaling the beginning of the end of the world as we know it. Meade believes that by the end of October, the world may enter what’s called a seven-year tribulation period, a fairly widespread evangelical belief that for seven years, catastrophic events would happen. WASHINGTON – Two years ago, Gerardo Serano – an American citizen, Kentucky farmer and a one-time GOP Kentucky statehouse candidate – was driving his brand new, $60,000 Ford F-250 pick-up truck to visit relatives in Mexico, snapping pictures along the way, when Customs and Border Patrol agents halted him at the border, demanded his cell phone, and asked him why he was taking pictures.
“I just wanted the opening of the bridge. I was gonna take the opening of the bridge, the entrance of the bridge. That’s all I wanted to do,” Serano told Fox News. Continue reading “Has asset forfeiture gone too far? Truck seizure case sparks outrage, a call for change”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took an opportunity at his U.N. General Assembly speech Tuesday to praise President Donald Trump, who he said was improving Israel’s reputation abroad.
Netanyahu joined his U.S. ally, President Donald Trump, in disparaging the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed by President Barack Obama, along with the leaders of Iran, China, France, Germany, Russia and the U.K in July 2015. The landmark agreement lifted sanctions against Tehran in exchange for Iran severely restricting its nuclear production capacity, but Netanyahu and Trump have accused Obama of being too soft on their mutual foe and. After facing a cold shoulder from Obama last year, Netanyahu embraced Trump’s tough talk Tuesday, which he said proved a crucial defense for Israel. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said Monday that it will reinstate premium processing for some H-1B visa petitions, restoring a service employers rely on for a quick answer on whether they can staff a position with a foreign worker.
For-profit companies can once again pay a $1,225 fee to expedite the processing of an H-1B visa within 15 days. This move comes as some H-1B applicants are having a harder time getting approved for the coveted visa because of a surge in scrutiny lawyers say they have never experienced before.
