High school students in Pennsylvania’s Northern Lebanon School District report that they are not allowed to walk through their schools’ hallways unless they smile; if they refuse they are sent for mandatory counselling.

The measure would constitute a huge leap of faith by users to trust Facebook with their most intimate information. Police were investigating an apparent hate crime by right-wing Jewish extremists Tuesday after hundreds of grapevines were cut down in a Palestinian vineyard near the West Bank city of Hebron in the second such incident in a week.

Hundreds of asylum seekers in Israel cannot access their bank accounts after renewing their visas because the Population and Immigration Authority altered their visa numbers, Haaretz reports.
