Anger spurred by the death of a black teenager at the hands of white police officer boiled over again early Saturday morning in Ferguson, Missouri, when protesters stormed into a convenience store — the same store that Michael Brown was accused of robbing.
Police and about 200 protesters began clashing late Friday after another tense day in the St. Louis suburb, a day that included authorities identifying the officer who fatally shot Brown on Aug. 9. At the same news conference in which officer Darren Wilson was named, Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson released documents alleging that Brown stole a $48.99 box of cigars from the convenience store, then strong-armed a man on his way out. In the wake of the police killing of unarmed, 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis), outraged protestors suspect that Brown’s capital “crime” was “walking while black.” Meanwhile, the tactics used to suppress the protests have been more appropriate for an occupying army than for “peace officers” with the mission to “protect and serve” their communities. From establishing a “no-fly zone” over Ferguson, to journalists tear gassed and arrested, to deploying snipers and armored fighting vehicles, U.S. troops in Afghanistan could hardly ask for looser rules of engagement than the “public servants” of Ferguson are enjoying. The Three Percenter Club’s imagination is as vivid as the Oathkeepers, and claims its make-believe army is made up of members who have been given “the capabilities and resources necessary to execute Military Strategies to defend against foreign and domestic enemies;” like child refugees and the United States government. In 2011, according to data I collected, police officers in the United States shot 1,146 people, killing 607. Between January 1, 2011 and January 1, 2012 I used the Internet to compile a national database of police involved shootings. The term “police involved shooting” pertains to law enforcement officers who, in the line of duty, discharge their guns. When journalists and police administrators use the term, they include the shooting of animals and shots that miss their targets. My case files only include instances in which a person is either killed or wounded by police gunfire. My data also includes off-duty officers who discharged their weapons in law enforcement situations. They don’t include, for example, officers using their firearms to resolve personal disputes. No one bid for the compound of a tax-evading couple convicted of amassing an arsenal of weapons and holding federal law enforcement officials at bay for months.
The auction of Ed and Elaine Brown’s fortress-like home on 100 acres in Plainfield was held at U.S. District Court in Concord on Friday. The minimum bid was $250,000.

More than £20,000 has been stolen from four passengers aboard the doomed MH370 flight.
Five months after the Malaysia Airlines flight went missing, mysterious withdrawals totaling 111,000 RM (£20,916) have been recorded, reports claim.
A bank in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reported the apparent discrepancies in their accounts on July 18, before lodging a police complaint, Assistant Commissioner to the crime investigation department Izany Abdul Ghany revealed. WASHINGTON: The former employee at US National Security Agency (NSA), Edward Snowden, has revealed that the British and American intelligence and the Mossad worked together to create the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Snowden said intelligence services of three countries created a terrorist organisation that is able to attract all extremists of the world to one place, using a strategy called “the hornet’s nest”.
NSA documents refer to recent implementation of the hornet’s nest to protect the Zionist entity by creating religious and Islamic slogans.

PHELAN — Equine owners in Phelan are still dealing with sick animals and remain unsure what caused many horses to manifest swollen eyes and lips, as well as blisters on their muzzles.
Speculation as to the source of the sickness has run from an equine virus and weeds, to high levels of protein or chemicals in a batch of feed.
According to Chuck Burt of Diamond B Hay and Feed, the medical condition may have been brought on by feed that was sold at his store at the end of July, and is “isolated to one load of alfalfa, just at the Phelan location.” Continue reading “Phelan owners concerned about sick horses”

It has long been known that Diego Garcia was used to refuel at least two CIA extraordinary rendition flights, but the British government faces a potentially much more serious charge: did it allow the CIA to use the British territory to detain, and even torture, leading terror suspects?
Anonymous US officials, quoted in a US media report earlier this year, claimed that classified CIA documents showed that the US had held high-valued detainees on Diego Garcia with the “full cooperation” of the British government.

A grand jury indicted Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Friday for allegedly abusing the powers of his office by carrying out a threat to veto funding for state prosecutors investigating public corruption — making the possible 2016 presidential hopeful his state’s first indicted governor in nearly a century.
A special prosecutor spent months calling witnesses and presenting evidence that Perry broke the law when he promised publicly to nix $7.5 million over two years for the public integrity unit run by the office of Travis County Democratic District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg. A small community in southeast Mexico is not thrilled that hundreds of illegal immigrants are still being housed in a federal center usually reserved for training the Border Patrol.
In June, 700 women and children who entered the country illegally were sent to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, which has been used to train the Border Patrol and other federal agents for nearly 30 years, New Mexico Watchdog reports. American skateboarder Jay Adams, one of the original members of the Zephyr (later nicknamed Z-Boys) skateboarding team, is reported to have died. Friends say he suffered a massive heart attack last night, while traveling in Mexico. He was known as “The Original Seed” of skating as a sport, and known as one of the most influential skaters in history. You can’t make this stuff up. Around 12:30am a few Sundays ago in Alabama, an armed robber entered a home uninvited and pointed his pistol at the occupants. Little did he know, one of the people he was trying to rob had a firearm of his own.
The armed occupant pointed his pistol at the robber and then things took a different turn. Mario Alejandro was ready for a fight when he was part of the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003 as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Where he did not expect a fight was at Six Flags Great Adventure while taking his children there for a birthday party.
But due to the shirt that his family bought him for Father’s Day, a fight is exactly what the 33-year-old veteran from Woodbridge says he encountered while attempting to enter the theme park on Saturday.
