Obama announced that he was going to create an American Armed Force that would be even larger than America’s current standing military force. He claimed at the time that America would need this force to combat the threats inside this nation from what he called at the time: “The Enemy Within.”
He did this at the same time he was demanding that the NDAA apply to all Americans anywhere in the world today (It passed the senate 97-0): That did finally succeed which meant that he can now kill anyone without a trial, evidence or even without any reason whatsoever. Now, because of his private army, he’s free to murder anyone he wants to kill as an “Enemy of the United States” and there is nothing that anyone can do about it unless we revolt! During the Revolutionary War against the British, it is said that only three percent of the population were involved in trying to win the nation’s freedom. That number reflects the percentage of patriots that actually volunteered to fight. There were many others, of course, that supported the cause, and contributed in other ways, but sadly, there was a huge percentage of Colonial Americans that sat on the sidelines with no opinion on the matter. More sick and dying animals are washing up on the coast of California, with new reports indicating record numbers of young sea lions, seals, and other marine mammals being admitted to care shelters for rehabilitation. The Orange County Register reports that the only facility in the county licensed to care for marine mammals is now at capacity, and that other facilities all along the coastline are being similarly inundated. A Thursday story in the International Business Times suggeststhat the main beneficiary of the Russian rocket engine embargo against the United States may be Elon Musk’s SpaceX. SpaceX, an entrepreneurial space launch company has been keen to penetrate that defense space satellite market for quite some time. The company is already a major NASA contractor with its Dragon cargo ship and has launched a number of commercial satellites.
As the Washington Post notes, SpaceX is conducting a law suit with the federal government over a contract for 36 military launches that has been granted to United Launch Alliance, the company’s main competitor. SpaceX is involved with a lengthy certification process with the Department of Defense that would allow it to compete for military contracts. It would like the military to cancel the ULA contract and put it out to competitive bid once SpaceX gets the certification. On Tuesday, around 30 citizens attended a meeting of the Clark County, IL Park District Board. Most wished to address the board over several recent controversies and allegations of corruption. In the face of this, the board said a public comment period wasn’t on the agenda and quickly moved to adjourn the meeting. Citizen John Kraft then informed the board that he was making a citizens’ arrest of the members as provided under Illinois state law.

On what did it report? Well, on itself, and how alarmed it is due to its own increasing irrelevance in the face of new sources of information.
NYT is well-aware of the “New Media,” as a 96-page internal report, sent to top executives last month, makes clear. Obtained by Buzzfeed, the report “paints a dark picture of a newsroom struggling more dramatically than is immediately visible to adjust to the digital world, a newsroom that is hampered primarily by its own storied culture.”

There are some people still alive today who were present at the last public execution in France. Actor Christopher Lee, for instance. In the early morning of 17 June 1939, Eugène Weidmann bowed down before the blade of the guillotine, the last person to do so publicly.
Weidmann was the last person to be executed before a crowd in France. He had been convicted of multiple kidnappings and murders, including that of a young American socialite. His trial was a sensation in that tense summer of 1939; the Frankfurt-born Weidmann was quickly dubbed “Teutonic Vampire” by the tabloids.
