gun banWND – by Joseph Farah

Someone asked me recently what might make a good compromise with those at war with the Second Amendment.

My answer is there is no compromise. In fact, we have compromised too much in the past, opening the door for the banning of classifications of firearms that will, if unchecked and not reversed, lead inevitably to an American society devoid of the weapons of meaningful self-defense – both against criminals and future tyrants. 22lrSeasoned Prepper – by Rourke

This post was originally published over at ModernSurvivalOnline quite a while ago. I believe its contents are still viable and really needs to be updated. Let me emphasize something here – I am not endorsing the 22LR as a defensive round. What I am saying is that if it is what you have, and what you can afford – it is better than a mean stare. It exposes an alleged Problem-Reaction-Solution chemical attack in Syria that would be blamed on President Assad to justify military action against him and his regime.

Visitors to this website know that this is happening all the time and 9/11 was the most famous example, but here was a British national newspaper publishing the story. Continue reading “Why has this massive story of global importance been removed from the Daily Mail Website?”

mahonyNew York Times – by JENNIFER MEDINA and LAURIE GOODSTEIN

LOS ANGELES — Cardinal Roger M. Mahony, who retired less than two years ago as the leader of the nation’s largest Roman Catholic archdiocese, was removed from all public duties by his successor, Archbishop José H. Gomez, as the church complied with a court order to release thousands of pages of internal documents that show how the cardinal shielded priests who sexually abused children.

The documents, released as part of a record $660 million settlement in 2007 with the victims of abuse, are the strongest evidence so far that top officials for years purposely tried to conceal abuse from law enforcement officials. The files, which go from the 1940s to the present, are the latest in a series of revelations that suggest that the church continued to maneuver against law enforcement even after the extent of the abuse crisis emerged. burger kingNatural Society – by Anthony Gucciardi

In a piece of highly disturbing news, Burger King has now admitted after continuous denial that it has actually been selling UK customers both burgers and Whoppers that contain horsemeat. This admission comes just after The Guardian reports that Burger King reps offered a round of ‘absolute assurances’ to customers that it did not ever use horsemeat in its products. A shoplifter was choked to death by a CVS store manager for stealing a tube of toothpaste in Chicago, Daily Mail reports Jan. 17. The manager, identified as Pedro Villanova, clearly wasn’t going to tolerate any stealing in his store — even if it was just a small hygiene item. He chased the man who took the toothpaste and choked him once he caught up with him. A surveillance video captured the whole thing. bloombergCommon Dreams – by Ted Rall

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg made headlines over the weekend with his announcement that he has donated $345 million to Johns Hopkins University. Added to his previous donations, the media baron has given his alma mater over $1 billion – the largest charitable contribution to an educational institution in US history.New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has given over $1 billion to his alma mater.

Bloomberg received plaudits for his generosity by the usual media sycophants. Along with death and taxes, another thing you can count on is being told to be grateful when masters of the universe give away some of their loot (even if none of it goes to you.) As pundits fawned, thousands of New Yorkers – residents of Queens whose homes got damaged by superstorm Sandy – were shivering under blankets in heatless homes in 15° weather because restoring electricity and housing storm victims isn’t one of the mayor’s top priorities. Last year my fellow editor warnedof a coup d’état in America. In case any reader has any doubt, Barack Obama and his allies have removed all doubt in the last several weeks. And in the process have made America ripe for rebellion. But if the right people stand up and lead, the results need not be as chaotic as one might suppose. Late last week, Senator Dianne Feinstein reintroduced her much anticipated gun ban.  Yesterday, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee spent several hours discussing her bill and other gun control proposals. Her bill (S. 150) would ban millions of shotguns, rifles and handguns that Americans legally own, and possibly –depending on statutory interpretation — could ban all magazines of whatever size.  It would do this by supercharging the 1994 semi-auto ban by:

* Banning all semi-autos with just one cosmetic feature (pistol grip, forward grip, folding stock, grenade launcher, barrel shroud, threaded barrel);  Continue reading “Feinstein’s Gun Ban to Affect Millions of Law-abiding Gun Owners”

gdp‘The experts did not see it coming.’  Now, where have we heard this before?  Apparently the economy in the United States shrank the last quarter of 2012.  From July through September a 3.1% gain was reported.  Remember, this was the beginning of our new boom coming up on the 2012 election.  And then in the 4th quarter, BAM!, we had a negative growth of 0.1%.

Now what is wrong with this picture?  Well, coming up on the election, we hanging out here in reality tried to tell you that the GDP numbers being put out were a lie just like the unemployment numbers are a lie.  Then at that the end of the 4th quarter, the books had to be balanced.  The 4th quarter consists of October through December, you know, our harvest and Christmas season, the best our economy gets all year.  Continue reading “4th Quarter GDP Numbers In – And the Depression Continues”

paulieWhen our roommate and close friend Paulie was killed by Officer Heimsness, he was just trying to come home. Paulie had moved in only a few days before, and in the dark he mistook the nearly identical house two doors down for ours. Our neighbor recognized him and tried to make sure he made it home safely. His wife, unsure of what was going on, decided to call the police as a precaution. Paulie never made it home.

Officer Heimsness shot Paulie even though he was unarmed and, according to eyewitness accounts, backing away with his hands up. Continue reading “Police killed our roommate”
