A small liberal arts college in Vermont has a tantalizing offer for high school seniors: free tuition and free room and board for four years.
“It’s a big commitment on the part of the college,” said Bob Allen, the president of Green Mountain College in Poultney.

On the evening of February 13, 1945, a series of Allied firebombing raids begins against the German city of Dresden, reducing the “Florence of the Elbe” to rubble and flames, and killing as many as 135,000 people. It was the single most destructive bombing of the war—including Hiroshima and Nagasaki—and all the more horrendous because little, if anything, was accomplished strategically, since the Germans were already on the verge of surrender. The Wyoming Highway Patrol shared a terrifying video via Facebook on Friday to remind drivers how important it is to heed weather advisories.

Cumberland County, NJ — Gerald Sykes, 76, and his wife woke up Friday night to their dogs barking and flashlights shining through their windows. Sykes immediately grabbed his shotgun and proceeded to the living room to defend his home. Sykes was ultimately shot by these intruders and was in critical condition.

A strange new phenomenon has been taking place on the beaches of Naples, Florida, where since February 7, beach goers have been astounded to find thousands of dead or dying bees along the shoreline.
A bee expert told NBC affiliate, WBBH-TV, that it is incredibly unusual to have bees washing up on the beach. He offered two possible reasons for the strange occurrence: 1) that the bees could have been affected by the nearby spraying of chemical pesticides, or 2) that an overhead swarm simply became exhausted and flew into the water. PORT ST LUCIE, FL — In a battle between potential burglars and glass at a gas station, the glass won.
The Port St. Lucis Police Department posted surveillance video of what they say was an attempted break-in at a gas station. An illegal alien who was recently deported to Mexico appeared in a dramatic press conference which was held afterwards. Her two teenaged kids joined her in tears saying they missed her.
Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos was arrested and deported after being caught using a fake ID to work for years illegally in the United States. She arrogantly declares in Spanish that she is not sorry she did it, and would do it all over again if she had the chance.
