DEPOE BAY, Oregon (WFLA/NBC) – A truck carrying about 7,500 pounds of live eels overturned on an Oregon highway Thursday afternoon.
Police said the truck driver failed to stop and when he slammed on the breaks, the containers full of eels flew off the truck.

Bodycam footage of two Orlando police officers pulling over Florida’s first and only black state attorney has gone viral. The cops, now accused of racial profiling, claimed her tags didn’t come back as registered and also eyed her legally tinted windows.

This is the unbelievable moment three police officers allowed a K9 dog to maul a man’s arm while they held him, face down, on the side of the street.
The suspect arrested in San Diego, California, was left with a large open wound after the dog pounced on him and brutally bit him – as officers didn’t utter a single command word to stop the attack.

A renegade skateboarding event at a popular park in San Francisco’s Mission District turned into a violent standoff with police Tuesday night, with unruly crowds throwing beer bottles and skateboards at officers in riot gear, authorities said.

Inmates at a maximum security prison in Guyana set fire to the premises, destroying most of the building and prompting a gunfight with authorities. Four “very serious criminals” managed to escape.

The Facebook video is highly disturbing. It shows a Minneapolis police officer intentionally shooting two dogs in a yard, and neither appear to be charging the cop.
The owner of the two dogs, Jennifer LeMay, is facing thousands of dollars in bills for vet care and surgery because of the gunshot wounds to her pets. Obviously distraught, LeMay uploaded a security video of her beloved dogs being systematically shot by a Minneapolis police officer. Neither dog looked to be a threat to the cop. The federally mandated, nationally standardized education program Common Core has many parents and teachers concerned. For starters, it imposes rigorous testing onto students, forcing curriculums to be molded around exams, not necessarily around learning or the development of critical thinking. Additionally, Common Core is part of a system developed by corporations and aims to prepare children for the life of being an employee, not a change-maker.
The program is causing friction around the nation, and a slow-burn rebellion of sorts is underway. In 2015, 4th grader Sydney Smoot made national headlines when she eloquently ripped standardized testing at a school board meeting.
