LINDA (CBS13) – Detectives are investigating why local man had a large stockpile of illegal weapons and explosives at his Rio Linda home.
Late Thursday night, Placer County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Andreas H. Koertel, 46, of Sacramento in a traffic stop. Deputies found Koertel in possession of meth and illegal weapons, according to Dena Erwin, a Placer County Sheriff’s Office public information officer. He was booked into jail on multiple charges. Global Internet traffic plunged by approximately 40 percent after Google services suffered a complete black-out Friday night, showing clearly just how much of grip Google holds on the internet worldwide.
According to Sky News Online, Google has refused to provide additional information on why their services, from Google Search to Gmail to YouTube, went dark, but web analytics firm GoSquared, confirms that the one-to-five minute outage occurred and caused the 40 percent plunge in worldwide Internet traffic. A Texas woman in the Cloverleaf area of East Harris County accused a Texas Sheriff’s deputy of raping her while her three youngchildren were in the apartment, according to the first video news report seen below. In the second news report, it is said the cop resigned.
The woman’s name was released because she wanted her story to be known. Her name is Lisa Rodriguez and she claimed that her three daughters were inside the apartment when the deputy showed up to question her about making harassing phone calls, insisted she go upstairs with him, raped her and left. (Video, RT) – The Muslim Brotherhood may be banned in Egypt, the country’s interim prime minister’s spokesman said. The threat comes after the Islamist movement called for a week of protest against a military crackdown that left over 700 dead.
