Carrying rifles and shotguns, proponents of open carry laws marched through downtown Longview on Saturday morning.
About 130 people participated in the march, which ended on the Gregg County Courthouse lawn.
“Our rights have been respected, and we’re going to exercise them as free men,” said organizer Stephen Lee.

There was what could prove to be an instructive moment for the Deplorable Nanny State Mayor this week, provided courtesy of the citizens of Ohio. The Obama administration tried to prevent UN inspections of the chemical attack. It failed, although the weapons inspectors were forced to leave a day early.
The real question is whether the U.S. will wait for the results of the tests, which could take weeks.

Earlier this week, a video surfaced online showing a Rochester police officer attacking a young Rochester woman, even though she repeatedly told the officer that she was pregnant. While details surrounding the arrest remain unclear, the video shows the officer using brutal and excessive force while arresting the woman on residential property.

The three men behind an “open carry” demonstration conducted outside of a San Antonio Starbucks are each facing charges of “disorderly conduct” because some observers reportedly complained about the stunt.
The group posted video of the entire demonstration, which included a disagreement with police officers, on YouTube. The men were seemingly well within their rights.
