NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The apparent abduction Friday of a Washington Heights couple was nothing more than a surprise birthday hoax, police said Monday.
Police spent the weekend looking for a man and a woman who witnesses said were kidnapped by two men in a dark-colored minivan just before 7 p.m. Friday near 173rd Street and Haven Avenue. Continue reading “Cops: Washington Heights Abduction Was Surprise Birthday Hoax”
The U.S Dollar is quickly losing its status as the world reserve currency. Five of the top ten economies in the world, plus a few others, no longer use the dollar as an intermediary currency for trade. This trend poses a huge risk to the dollar and the United States along with it.
ZeroHedge points out today that Australia, the world’s 12th-ranked economy, has now joined a growing list of nations that have agreed to bypass the dollar in bilateral trade with China. China, ranked 2nd behind the U.S., also has similar agreements with Japan (3rd), Brazil (6th), India (9th), and Russia (10th). Continue reading “5 of 10 Top Economies in the World Drop the Dollar”

Burning people’s homes down has apparently become the new standard operating procedure for ending standoffs.
Of course, just like with Dorner the police won’t admit they burned it down, they just threw a multitude of flammables into the house, then in an unrelated incident it happened to catch fire. Continue reading “Cops Burn Down Another House During Standoff”

While many believe the “birthers” are “right wing extremists,” there is much evidence that demonstrates that Barack Hussein Obama is not only ineligible for office, but that he is knowingly a usurper to the highest office in the land. The Obama eligibility case is likely to be heard in a court room by a judge who questions Obama’s eligibility. Judge Roy Moore was elected chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court last November, a decade after he defied a federal order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state Supreme Court building. Attorney Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and now the head of Freedom Watch, is appealing to Moore’s court after the Montgomery Circuit Court dismissed the Obama eligibility case. Masked thugs abducted a man and woman at gunpoint off the street in a leafy section of Washington Heights — pulling the pair into a van and speeding off with barely a trace.
The victims were last seen on a surveillance video walking together on a sidewalk on Haven Avenue near West 173rd Street at 7 p.m. Friday — right outside a building that houses Columbia University dental students. Body modification has taken on vastly different meanings over the years, from wearing makeup and piercing our ears to getting tattoos and going to tanning salons. As the Verge and futurist blog i09 have reported, body modification now even covers “biohackers” who seek to make changes to their bodies so they can gain additional senses.
This new form of body modification may be heading mainstream — and fast. Implants are becoming less taboo, and many have talked to Gizmodo and NPR about the advantages of magnet-studded fingers so they can sense electricity. Medical researchers recently made a prototype of a device that’s implanted under your skin, analyzes your blood concentration, and sends that information to your mobile device. There’s even a Barcelona-based Cyborg Foundation dedicated entirely to the production of new senses. Continue reading “5 Body Modifications That Can Give You A Sixth Sense”

Did you know that people in other countries can buy Fords and VW automobiles that get over 70 miles to the gallon. Volkswagon Passad gets 78.5 miles per gallon and is sold only in Europe. A Ford model sold only in Europe gets over 70 mpg. Neither car is available in the US and that is because of government regulations that forbid them. And Toyota has a very good non-hybrid plug-in electric car. Ask yourself, who is it that is benefiting from this! Continue reading “High Mileage Cars Forbidden for Sale in the US”
