The GMO biotech sector is involved in a multi-pronged campaign to influence governments and the public about the benefits of its products. It uses various means.

It sets up or infiltrates institutions and co-opts prominent political and scientific figures to do its bidding (1). It hijacks regulatory and policy making bodies (2,3). With help from the US Government, it assumes strategic importance in international trade negotiations and is then able to set a policy and research agenda, as has been the case in India with the Knowledge Initiative on Agriculture and the funding of agricultural research within the country (4,5). It is shaping ‘free’ trade agreements to its own advantage (6). It mounts personal attacks on and tries to discredit key scientists who question its claims (7,8). And it arguably regards contamination as a means of trying to eventually render the whole debate about GMOS meaningless (9).   Continue reading “The Double Standards And Crumbling Myths Of The GMO Biotech Setor”

HOUSTON, TX –A family received more than they bargained for when they requested the help of local police in dealing with a mentally ill family member.  To “defuse” a situation involving a delusional man who had locked himself in a bathroom with a knife, police kicked in the door, screamed obscenities, tased him several times, and finally shot him to death.  The horrifying scene was captured through a hidden camera set up by family members who were distrustful of police.

The incident involving the death of Michael Blair took place on November 4th, 2013.  The video was only recently released.   Continue reading “Family seeks help with schizophrenic family member, police arrive and tase, shoot him”

Walnuts in ContainerSpiritfoods – by Michael Ravensthorpe

People have long believed that cognitive decline is an inherent and inevitable symptom of aging. In reality, however, most age-related mental conditions – from minor irritations like forgetfulness to serious neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia – are the product of toxic environments, unhealthy lifestyles, and poor nutrition. For this reason, there are many things that individuals of all ages can do to prevent age-related cognitive decline, including getting enough sleep and exercise, and optimizing gut flora.   Continue reading “Three Superfoods That Help Prevent Cognitive Decline”

We Finally Won One Against the Police State!Mark Nestmann

The “War on Drugs” is a great example of America’s slow descent into a police state.

Only 120 years ago, you could actually buy cocaine – and syringes – out of a Sears catalog. Cannabis (marijuana) was widely used as a painkiller and to treat seizures. You could buy morphine over the counter at any pharmacy.   Continue reading “We Finally Won One Against the Police State!”

Like the Rockefellers and the Kennedys, the Kochs are one of the most influential dynasties of the modern age, but they have never been the subject of a major biography… until now.

Not long after the death of his father, Charles Koch, then in his early 30s, discovered a letter the family patriarch had written to his sons. “You will receive what now seems to be a large sum of money,” Fred Koch cautioned. “It may either be a blessing or a curse.”   Continue reading “Sons of Wichita”

In a previous article told you about E. Ray Moore, the true Christian conservative candidate for South Carolina Lieutenant Governor, who is calling for parents to remove their children from the government education system and supports Christian, private and home school education without any strings tied to state or federal funding. “We cannot win this war we’re in as long as we keep handing our children over to the enemy to educate,” Moore said in April at a Liberty Rally in South Carolina. I recently spoke to Mr. Moore to have him expound upon his platform.   Continue reading “SC Candidate E. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is considering moving beyond its position of refusing to consider hiring employees who used marijuana in the past, a reflection that comes amid growing legalization and a the agency’s need to hire young people.

FBI Director James B. Comey was speaking at the White Collar Crime Institute, a conference held each year at the New York City Bar Association in Manhattan, when he was asked if the law enforcement agency would ever think of deviating from its policy of generally refusing to hire applicants who have used cannabis or other illegal drugs in the past.   Continue reading “FBI mulls easing marijuana policy to lure more hackers”
