In the name of transparency following the outrage over the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer last week, St. Louis police have put out cell phone video that shows two officers shooting and killing a man who approached them brandishing a knife and yelling “Shoot me!”

Police identified the man as 25-year-old Kajieme Powell, who was suspected of stealing from a nearby convenience store. Officers arrived on the scene after receiving two separate 911 calls reporting Powell’s erratic behavior. The two officers fired a combined 12 shots at Powell, killing him instantly, after he refused to drop the steak knife he was holding and continued moving towards them.    Continue reading “Graphic Cell Phone Video Shows St. Louis Police Shooting Knife-Wielding Man”

Radio station KFNS-FM (100.7 FM, “The Viper”) of Troy, Missouri is reporting on its Facebook page a bombshell of a claim:

***BREAKING NEWS***
Remember, you saw it and heard it here first. We have heard (from a VERY connected national media source) that Ferguson officer Darren Wilson will be cleared in the shooting of Michael Brown. The key: Dorian Johnson has now admitted that Michael Brown attacked Officer Wilson and attempted to take his gun. OFFICER WILSON WILL NOT BE CHARGED! This is scary. When this news is made official, we all have reason to be concerned about the reaction.

In just a few days, Natural News will be exclusively announcing the results of unprecedented laboratory testing of water filters — the kind of testing which has never been done before on off-the-shelf filters.

The tests I’ve conducted in the Natural News Forensic Food Lab determine the ability of water filters to remove not only toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury, but also to remove uranium, strontium and cesium isotopes — elements of special importance in a nuclear accident (such as Fukushima) or nuclear war.

Wisconsin –-(Ammoland.com)-  For years I carried a Ruger single action 45 Long Colt, Blackhawk revolver.

I was and still am a very good shot with that handgun. It has a short 4 5/8 inch barrel and has a hard chrome finish on it (pre stainless steel) so carrying it all day in the hot steamy summer did not ruin the finish.   Continue reading “It Is Too Late When The Riots Start”

North Carolina –-(Ammoland.com)-That’s the thing with nagging: by definition, it never, ever stops.

Once again, “Moms Demand a Gun Ban” has attempted to bully a retailer into banning guns from its stores.

This time they went after Kroger. Fortunately, it seems that management at Kroger sees the Moms for what they are: Michael Bloomberg’s bought-and-paid-for astroturf, and so their effort to pester Kroger into banning guns has failed. Kroger spokesman, Keith Dailey, has stated:   Continue reading “Kroger Chain Respects Your Right to Self Defense”

A Salt Lake City police officer shot and killed 20-year-old Dillon Taylor outside a convenience store Aug. 11, 2014.WND – by Joe Kovacs

While national news media continue to focus on race in Ferguson, Missouri, where a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black teenager, they apparently don’t think a similar case in Utah with the races reversed is that newsworthy.

Police in Salt Lake City are continuing their probe into an Aug. 11 shooting outside a 7-Eleven convenience store, when a black police officer, whom local media are referring to as “not white,” shot and killed 20-year-old Dillon Taylor, who is white and was unarmed at the time, according to his supporters.   Continue reading “Black cop kills white man, media hide race”

A police officer who pointed an assault rifle at people in Ferguson on Tuesday night and threatened to kill them has been relieved of duty and suspended indefinitely, authorities said.

The officer, who was not identified, has been removed from the field after he pointed his semi-automatic weapon at a peaceful protester, according to Brian Schellman, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department.     Continue reading “Police officer suspended for pointing rifle at protesters, threatening them”

Reason – by Jacob Sullum

Two weeks ago the NYPD sent officers a memo reminding them that “members of the public are legally allowed to record police interactions.” In fact, “intentional interference such as blocking or obstructing cameras or ordering the person to cease constitutes censorship and also violates the First Amendment.” The memo said cops may take action against camera-wielding civilians only if they “interfere with police operations.” The directive sounds similar to one issued by Washington, D.C., Police Chief Cathy Lanier two years ago. If you are wondering why such reminders are considered necessary, it is because of incidents like this, described in a federal lawsuit filed last year by Brooklyn resident Dick George: Continue reading “New York Cops Know People Have a Right to Record Them; They Just Don’t Care”

Newly released video from NYC Housing Authority security cameras in Queensbridge appears to show that the NYPD is lying about a fatal crash that killed a Japanese student last year and may have tried to cover up the incident by discarding further video evidence. Although the NYPD has refused to release any video—which they previously claimed shows the NYPD vehicle with its flashing lights engaged—attorney Steve Vaccaro has obtained video from NYCHA through a Freedom of Information Law request.    Continue reading “Video Points To NYPD Cover-Up After Cop Fatally Ran Over Pedestrian”

Washington Post – by Sunil Dutta

A teenager is fatally shot by a police officer; the police are accused of being bloodthirsty, trigger-happy murderers; riots erupt. This, we are led to believe, is the way of things in America.

It is also a terrible calumny; cops are not murderers. No officer goes out in the field wishing to shoot anyone, armed or unarmed. And while they’re unlikely to defend it quite as loudly during a time of national angst like this one, people who work in law enforcement know they are legally vested with the authority to detain suspects — an authority that must sometimes be enforced. Regardless of what happened with Mike Brown, in the overwhelming majority of cases it is not the cops, but the people they stop, who can prevent detentions from turning into tragedies.   Continue reading “I’m a cop. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me.”

Russia’s consumer watchdog has shut down four McDonald’s restaurants in central Moscow – including the first-ever outlet in the country – over “administrative violations.” More of the company 430 Russian franchises are under investigation.
