Greene County is buzzing this week over a surprising confrontation at one of its schools.  A four-year-old kid with attention deficit disorder caused a ruckus in the pre-K classroom, and when the principal could not restore calm, the local sheriff handcuffed the child and took him away in a squad car.

This story began in mid-October when a child at Nathanael Greene Primary School allegedly threw blocks, climbed over desks, hit, scratched, and kicked the principal and the director of special education. A sheriff’s deputy assigned to the schools was summoned, and his boss — County Sheriff Steven Smith – says the student was handcuffed.   Continue reading “Child Handcuffed and School Policies Questioned”

I received an update from the Maryland mom of two who was contacted by Montgomery Country Child Welfare Service in November after she let her kids, ages 6 and 10, play at the park two blocks from home by themselves. She was cited for allowing a child under age 8 “to be locked or confined in a dwelling, building, enclosure, or motor vehicle while the person charged is absent.”

The CPS worker decided “confined in a dwelling” was the same thing as “outside in a park.”   Continue reading “CPS Threatens Dad: Let Your Kids Play Outside and We’ll Take Them Away”

Nostradamuspredictions.jpgBATR – by William B. “Nostradamus, Jr.” Kaliher

Reading a slightly chipped 1850’ antique crystal doorknob reduced last year’s accuracy to only 109 percent.  Charlatan seers filling up New Year’s Day publications are overjoyed at achieving two percent accuracy.  However, I, “Nostradamus Jr.” Kaliher disappointed with my results, drained a quart of Alvin Starkman’s (Mezcal Educational Excursions of Oaxaca)  private mescal stock, snuggled up to scantily clad Little Egypt and swore off future predictions. Having neglected to examine my own future little did I know what to expect.   Continue reading ““Nostradamus, Jr.” Kaliher’s Annual Top 101 Predictions for 2015”

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham Saturday pledged unwavering support to Israel in its conflicts with Hamas and Iran and vowed that the new Republican-controlled Congress would approve legislation to re-impose sanctions on Tehran should it not agree to limitations on its nuclear arsenal.

“The United States Congress, above all entities in America, has your back in a very bipartisan way,” Graham, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a joint news conference in Jerusalem. “The Congress clearly sees the difference between the tactics of Hamas and the democracy called Israel, and the international community seems to be a bit confused.”   Continue reading “Lindsey Graham to Netanyahu: GOP-Controlled Congress ‘Has Your Back’”

Why has so much confusing material been published about the Sandy Hook massacre of December 14, 2012? I think I’ve figured out what’s going on!

This article will go much further than my November 30, 2014 article, “Duplex False Flags: Sandy Hook, Boston Marathon, etc.” There, I looked at the fact that there are many ‘critics’ on Youtube who don’t seem to be ordinary critics. They’ve done amazing work digging up data that people like myself would never think of looking for. Until now, I was tempted to believe their findings.   Continue reading “Sandy Hook Denial Will Be Criminalized, Like Holocaust Denial?”

The ObamaCare-mandated fines for not having insurance are rising in 2015 — and for the first time, will be collected by the Internal Revenue Service.

The individual requirement to buy health insurance went into effect earlier this year. But this coming tax season is the first time all taxpayers will have to report to the IRS whether they had health insurance for the prior year.    Continue reading “ObamaCare fines rising in 2015, IRS prepares to collect”

A bill that would allow New Jersey municipalities to sell their public water utilities to private, for-profit corporations without putting the measure to voters is awaiting Gov. Chris Christie’s signature.

Until now, any municipality in New Jersey that sought to sell off its water system to a private bidder had to hold a public vote. But a bill passed with bipartisan support by the state’s Senate last week would allow municipalities with aging and deteriorating water systems to put their systems up for sale without holding a referendum.   Continue reading “A New Jersey bid to privatize water without public votes”

The dollar’s role as the world’s reserve currency was first established in 1944 with the Bretton Woods agreement. The U.S. was able assume this role by virtue of it then having the largest gold reserves in the world.

The dollar was pegged at $35 an ounce — and freely exchangeable into gold at that rate. But by 1971, convertibility into gold was no longer viable as America’s gold resources drained away.

Instead, the dollar became a pure fiat currency (decoupled from any physical store of value), until the petrodollar agreement was concluded by President Nixon in 1973.   Continue reading “The Rise Of The Petrodollar”

The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has launched a new SWIFT-style payment service aimed at moving away from Western financial dominance. The system is already operating, and will be fully functional within six months.

“The new service was launched in order to ensure smooth and safe transmission of financial messaging within the country, and is another step towards improving the system of services provided by the Bank of Russia,” said the bank statement Friday.

The regulator said the new service will allow credit institutions to transmit messages in a SWIFT format through CBR to all Russia’s regions without restrictions.   Continue reading “CBR launches SWIFT alternative for domestic payments”

Father: How did your baseball game go today, son?

Son: I hadda run home.

Father: No, no, son. You mean to say that you had a home run.

Son: Nope. With my first swing, I sent a foul tip over the backstop. It broke the windshield of a police car. So I hadda run home.

A woman returning home from Sierra Leone has become the first person in the UK to be diagnosed with Ebola.

Britain’s screening system for the disease immediately came under scrutiny after the NHS nurse’s condition was not detected in either country.

Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s First Minister, confirmed that a woman was being treated at Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow after returning to Scotland via London.

FORFEITURE-PHILAArmstrong Economics – by Martin Armstrong

Philadelphia prosecutors agreed Thursday to halt efforts to seize the homes of two of the lead plaintiffs in a widely publicized federal suit challenging the city’s use of civil forfeiture laws in drug cases.

Philadelphia drops a Civil Asset Forfeiture case to prevent any court from ruling just seizing people’s property is unconstitutional. Phily.COM has reported the case of Christos Sourovelis and Doila Welch, who were both caught up in having their homes seized to pay police pensions when the police arrested a relative they claimed was dealing drugs on their properties. Today, you basically have to shun relatives and never pick up a hick-hiker in trouble for if they have any drugs, even marijuana, there goes your assets.   Continue reading “Only the Rich Can Afford to Keep Their Homes”

In the often cold and unforgiving world of Multnomah County Circuit Court, a Portland civil attorney last week did something rather extraordinary:

He offered to loan a complete stranger $983 of his own money to keep the man — a 27-year-old dad — from having a felony conviction on his record.

Call it an act of faith in humankind — or perhaps a foolhardy move — depending on your perspective.   Continue reading “Stranger in Portland courtroom shows defendant mercy — forks over $983 so he won’t become felon”

At least six people have been jailed in Texas over the past two years for owing money on payday loans, according to a damning new analysis of public court records.

The economic advocacy group Texas Appleseed found that more than 1,500 debtors have been hit with criminal charges in the state — even though Texas enacted a law in 2012 explicitly prohibiting lenders from using criminal charges to collect debts.   Continue reading “Texas Is Throwing People In Jail For Failing To Pay Back Predatory Loans”
