Our nation has suffered too much at the hands of dangerous people who use guns to commit horrific acts of violence. As President Obama said following the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, “We won’t be able to stop every violent act, but if there is even one thing that we can do to prevent any of these events, we have a deep obligation, all of us, to try.”

Most gun owners are responsible and law-abiding, and they use their guns safely. The President strongly believes that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. But to better protect our children and our communities from tragic mass shootings like those in Newtown, Aurora, Oak Creek, and Tucson, there are common-sense steps we can take right now.

Former White House Press Secretary James Brady, who was famously shot during the attempt on then-President Ronald Reagan’s life in 1981, has died. He was 73.

“Jim touched the lives of so many and has been a wonderful husband, father, friend and role model,” his family said in a statement. “We are enormously proud of Jim’s remarkable accomplishments – before he was shot on the fateful day in 1981 while serving at the side of President Ronald Reagan and in the days, months and years that followed. Jim Brady’s zest for life was apparent to all who knew him, and despite his injuries and the pain he endured every day, he used his humor, wit and charm to bring smiles to others and make the world a better place.”   Continue reading “Former White House Press Secretary James Brady Dead at 73”

Many ‘green apples’ are being offered for your consumption. Do not eat the ‘green apple’ being disguised as Liberty! The most generally accepted definition says that liberty is the ability to act according to one’s own will. Socialists relate liberty to the equal distribution of wealth. Does individual liberty threaten ‘community’? Should we give up human freedom or freedom of association for the sake of the collective?

Once FoodFreedomUSA.org came into being the Communists were out in force to bring us into their camp. No way was that going to happen on my watch. The hopes of us spreading their warm and fuzzy propaganda were dashed. Instead of selling out to these New World Order chameleons, we would stand by the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. Continue reading “Don’t Eat the Green Apples”

After Officer Darren Ilardi fatally struck 24-year-old Ryo Oyamada with his police cruiser in Queensbridge last year, the NYPD purposefully destroyed evidence, failed to properly investigate the crash, and engaged in a “cover-up,” according to a set of recently filed court documents.

Officers responding to the scene dispersed all eyewitnesses, failed to measure skid marks, and did not check Ilardi’s cell phone records to determine if he was using his phone when he struck the 24-year-old student outside a deli near the intersection of 40th Avenue and 10th Street, the filings claim.   Continue reading “Speeding Cop Killed Student & NYPD Covered It Up, Lawsuit Claims”

That is more than the debt increased under all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined, and it is more debt than was accumulated in the first 227 years of this nation’s existence–from 1776 through 2003.   Continue reading “$7,060,259,674,497.51–Federal Debt Up $7 Trillion Under Obama”

HOUSTON, Texas — Several unaccompanied minors who entered the U.S. illegally have been relocated to and released where many U.S. citizens cannot afford to bring their own families on vacation: the Virgin Islands.

Subsequent to being caught illegally crossing the Texas-Mexico border, more than 30,000 unaccompanied minors have been released by federal agents in states across the U.S. While the majority of the minors have been set free in large states like Texas, Virginia, and California, a Health and Human Services (HHS) document shows that four were set free in the U.S. Virgin Islands.    Continue reading “Unaccompanied Minors Released on Lavish Vacation Spot, Virgin Islands”
