MCALLEN, Texas – The Mexican military seized an armored vehicle loaded with a grenade launcher and several other drug cartel weapons and ammunition just south of the Texas border.

The seizure took place when a convoy of Mexican soldiers was carrying out routine patrols in the Mexican city of Miguel Aleman when they spotted an SUV with makeshift armor plating that tried to drive away, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Tamaulipas government revealed. Many illegal immigrants at a Northern California DMV reportedly were failing the written exam when applying for driver’s licenses on Friday.

Under the AB 60 law that Governor Jerry Brown (D) signed in 2013 and took effect at the start of 2015, illegal immigrants were able to apply for driver’s licenses on Friday. London (AFP) – An overturned cargo ship sank Sunday off the coast of Scotland as the search continued for the missing eight-member crew.

Seven Poles and one Filipino were on board the Cypriot-registered Cemfjord, a cargo ship carrying cement, which capsized around 15 miles (24 kilometres) from Wick on the northeast tip of Scotland.

Forget lab-made materials like graphene — natural, old-fashioned hemp may be the ticket to our energy future. Researchers have demonstrated that you can make very efficient carbon electrodes simply by heating hemp bast fibers in a two-stage process. The resulting substance holds as much energy as graphene, but is much cheaper to make. You’re just using biological leftovers, after all. It’s much more tolerant of temperature extremes, too, and can survive anything from freezing conditions to a scorching 200F. North Korea has furiously denounced the United States for imposing sanctions in retaliation for the Pyongyang regime’s alleged cyber-attack on Sony Pictures.

North Korea’s foreign ministry reiterated that it did not have any role in the breach of tens of thousands of confidential Sony emails and business files and accused the US of “groundlessly” stirring up hostility towards Pyongyang. Apparently the anti-gun group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America didn’t get the memo from November: You lost big in the midterms. Instead, MDA just announced it is targeting country music star Alan Jackson and comedian Jeff Foxworthy for agreeing to open the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, in April. In its Facebook announcement, MDA criticized the two for accepting the invitation from the NRA — the group which, according to the MDA, “pushed to arm convicted criminals, blocked federal gun violence research and [their] board members promoted armed insurrection.”   Continue reading “Anti-gun Groups Seeking to Build on Washington State’s “Victory””
