Avengers star Patrick Macnee has died of natural causes at his home in California at the age of 93.
According to a statement by the actor’s son, Rupert, he passed away with his family at his bedside at his home in Rancho Mirage earlier today.
A star of both film and television, Macnee was best known for his role as the mysterious John Steed in 1960s show The Avengers alongside Diana Rigg. U.S District Court Judge George O’Toole has officially sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death. Tsarnaev is to be executed at the Federal Prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.
At the end of the hearing, US District Judge George A. O’Toole Jr. sentenced Tsarnaev to death on six of the 30 charges he was convicted of, and gave him consecutive life sentences for some of his other crimes. O’Toole was bound by the jury’s decision to sentence Tsarnaev to death — a sentence that is subject to an automatic appeal. SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Authorities in three remote northern California counties joined forces in a raid on marijuana farms, destroying some 15,300 plants, the Eureka Times-Standard said on Wednesday.

Despite a recent report indicating that the vast majority of the Central American families who illegally entered the U.S. last year seeking asylum failed to appear in court, the Obama administration says it is further reducing family detention.
“I have reached the conclusion that we must make substantial changes in our detention practices with respect to families with children,” Department of Homeland Security Sec.
