Some members of Greece’s leftist-led government wanted to raid central bank reserves and hack taxpayer accounts to prepare a return to the drachma, according to reports that highlighted the chaos in the ruling Syriza party.

It is not clear how seriously the government considered the plans, attributed to former energy minister Panagiotis Lafazanis and ex-finance minister Yanis Varoufakis. Lafazanis was sacked from his post and Varoufakis resigned earlier this month. A Native American activist was recently arrested and found dead in jail under conditions very similar to those of Sandra Bland in Texas.

Rexdale W. Henry, 53, was recently found dead inside the Neshoba County Jail in Philadelphia, Mississippi, on July 14th. He had been arrested over failure to pay a minor traffic citation.

The Boy Scouts of America is expected to end its ban on gay adult leaders on Monday, dismantling a policy that has deeply divided the membership of the 105-year-old Texas-based organization.

The Boy Scouts National Executive Board will consider a resolution that was unanimously approved by the organization’s executive committee on July 13. In the United States, this is understood, that People are entitled to Protection of life, Liberty and Pursuit of happiness. Our Rights are embodied in our licenses; for example Our Right to travel, Right to work, pursuit of happiness depends on our driving license(s). The Rights of American people cannot be taken away without constitutionally mandated procedures in order to reduce the risk of erroneous deprivation.

California issued an anonymous and unsigned letters to suspend a driving license in 2011… The DMV never sent any notification prior to that order of suspension. The libs are already using the latest mass shooting as a rallying cry for gun control. Before it was semi-automatic weapons. Now it’s handguns. Obama will do his usual jibber jabber about the dangers of the 2nd Amendment. MSNBC will spend hours on the subject. They will mention he was a member of the Tea Party 4,000 times in the next week. No agenda there, I’m sure.

On July 24, the day after John Russell Houser allegedly used a handgun to kill two people in Lafayette, Louisiana, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley called on Congress to ban “the sale of assault weapons” and “[establish] a national gun registry.”

The United States has persuaded its North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies to provide a steady flow of arms to the Kurds in Iraq after Israel convinced Washington that these northern forces are pivotal to the defeat of Islamic State (ISIS).

Israel has been arming the Kurds for many years. It also has special forces trainers on the ground advising them. U. S. officials on Friday denied a Wall Street Journal report that the Obama administration was considering early release for Jonathan Pollard, a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer convicted of spying for Israel.

The Justice Department said Pollard must serve his full 30-year sentence. A judge on Friday ordered the seizure of identification documents and computer hard drives from Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office, and chastised his attorneys for failing to turn over the evidence, requested months ago in a racial-profiling case against the Arizona lawman.

The U.S. Marshals Service later raided the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
