The powerful head of Vietnam’s Communist Party will travel to the United States for the first time next week, and said he expects President Barack Obama will visit Vietnam later this year.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said Friday he hopes to build trust and create more opportunities to improve relations between one-time foes as they mark the 20th anniversary of normalized diplomatic ties. They are also being brought closer together by shared concerns over China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea.   Continue reading “Vietnam Communist Party Chief to Make First US Visit”

The Fourth of July is a very special day for America. But why is it such a special day? Many of us have forgotten why the Fourth of July is so special. In fact, many Americans do not even know what the Fourth of July really is. Our definition of the event is a time for us to party, watch a parade, light fireworks, and drink beer. This has nothing to do with what the Fourth of July is really about, however.   Continue reading “What Is The Fourth Of July Really About?”

Hopefully, we will once again be a free society and the Fourth of July will be more than one day of a three day holiday marked by fireworks.

The Patriot Act and the NDAA were passed to tell us we were no longer a free country. The Bush administration drew up a list of 8 million Americans the Israelis and the Bankers wanted incarcerated when the dollar collapses. It is not a workable plan but then that crowd in Washington DC is not very bright. See this:   Continue reading “Vidrebel: So Why Do Americans Still Celebrate The Fourth of July?”

Sheriff David Clarke Jr. of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.WND – by Leo Hohmann

One of America’s most popular sheriffs has issued a “wake-up call” for conservatives following the Supreme Court’s two landmark decisions on same-sex marriage and Obamacare.

The way Sheriff David Clarke sees it, the wild horse has broken loose and is halfway out of the barn, threatening to trample the crops.

If the court can redefine marriage and force people to buy health care from a private business, there is nothing it can’t do, said Clarke, the sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and frequent Fox News contributor.   Continue reading “Top sheriff: America now ruled by ‘oligarchy’”

The man arrested in connection with the seemingly random killing of a woman who was out for a stroll with her father along the San Francisco waterfront is an illegal immigrant who previously had been deported five times, federal immigration officials say.

Further, Immigration and Customs Enforcement says San Francisco had him in their custody earlier this year but failed to notify ICE when he was released.    Continue reading “Man arrested in connection with San Francisco killing had been deported several times, officials say”

A Munich-based group has launched a program offering “to rent a Jew” for socializing and “breaking down any prejudices.” The group said that few Germans know Jews personally and the program aims “to engage young people on the grassroots level.”

The Syriza government is backing down after the realization that Brussels will declare economic war on Greece by deliberately trying to plunge the country into total ruin, far worse than the sanctions imposed on Russia. This is a sad day for the entire world. It is a terrible example that the Troika is the new equivalent of a Roman Triumvirate – the death of democracy. Europeans will remember this day for it is when national sovereignty died.   Continue reading “Greece Surrenders its Sovereignty to Brussels”

Members of the congregation at the First Church of Cannabis sing and dance during the church's first service on July 1, 2015, in Indianapolis.Time – by Tanya Basu

A church devoted to the legalization of marijuana held its first service in Indianapolis on Wednesday.

The First Church of Cannabis, founded in March of this year with members who identify as Cannaterians, is seeking to legalize marijuana in Indiana as a religious liberty. The church is citing the state’s controversial Religious Freedom and Restoration Act, which went into effect on Wednesday. The law, which permits companies and individuals to defend themselves in legal proceedings by citing religious beliefs, has been attacked by opponents who argue that it could be used by those who want to discriminate against LGBT people. But the First Church of Cannabis hopes to turn that concern on its head, using the law to allow for legal marijuana use.   Continue reading “A Cannabis Church Tests Indiana’s Religious-Freedom Law”

Black Agenda Report – by Glen Ford

There has never been a dime’s worth of difference between the Clintons (Bill and Hillary) and Barack Obama, and less than ten cents separates the worldviews of these Democratic political twins from the Bush wing of the Republican Party.

Each has their individual quirks. Barack destroys international order and the rule of law while dabbling at song; Bill dismantled the U.S. manufacturing base and threw record numbers of Blacks in prison as he toyed with his trumpet; George W. played the fool who would Shock and Awe the world into obedience; and Hillary is the evil crone that curses the dead while screaming “We are Woman” like a banshee. But they are all the same in their corporate soullessness.   Continue reading “Both Major U.S. Parties are Plagues on Humanity”

Using the same tactics used by “gay” rights activists, pedophiles have begun to seek similar status arguing their desire for children is a sexual orientation no different than heterosexual or homosexuals.

Critics of the homosexual lifestyle have long claimed that once it became acceptable to identify homosexuality as simply an “alternative lifestyle” or sexual orientation, logically nothing would be off limits. “Gay” advocates have taken offense at such a position insisting this would never happen. However, psychiatrists are now beginning to advocate redefining pedophilia in the same way homosexuality was redefined several years ago.   Continue reading “Pedophiles want same rights as homosexuals”
