A red flag sign of an emotionally abusive relationship is when the abuser goes to great lengths to make the abused party seem “crazy” or “ridiculous.” This is actually just an attempt to maintain power in the relationship and the behavior worsens when they sense that their victim is breaking free. They humiliate, demean, and “tease” the victim in an effort to remain in control.  This is the classic pattern of a bully, whether it’s in a romantic relationship, a workplace relationship, or a parent/child relationship.   Continue reading “Big Food: Kicking, Screaming, and Losing Lots of Money”

Obama Pharoah - YouTube ScreenshotThe Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

A horse named “American Pharoah” just won the Triple Crown.  Is this some sort of a sign for America?  The office of the presidency was greatly strengthened under previous administrations, but now Barack Obama has grabbed an unprecedented amount of power for himself.  In this article, I am going to focus on immigration, but Obama’s power grab is certainly not limited to this area.  And as I have written aboutpreviously, if there is some sort of major “national emergency” over the next year or so, the legal framework has already been created for Obama to use his “emergency powers” to take total control of virtually everything.  So is comparing Obama to the pharoahs of ancient Egypt unfair?  I don’t think so at all.  He is certainly acting as if he would like the powers of a dictator, his policies in the Middle East would make the pharoahs proud, and without a doubt Obama loves the adoration and worship of his fans.  In my opinion, he is the closest thing to a pharoah that the United States has ever seen.   Continue reading “American Pharoah: What A Perfect Description For The Guy In The White House”

New Jersey state police in riot gear were dispatched to MetLife stadium with tear gas, armored vehicles and a helicopter to disperse an unruly crowd of youths reportedly trying to break through a jammed door during the Summer Jam festival.

Thousands of concert-goers hoping to attend what was advertised as “the hottest hip hop event of the year” were faced with sealed and barred doors at MetLife stadium, while a thick line of armored police faced off against rioters just outside the building’s entrance.   Continue reading “Arrests, tear gas at NJ stadium as riot police face bottle-throwing youths”

TRANG BANG, Vietnam (AP) — He stands in the northbound lane of Vietnam’s Highway 1, traffic swirling around him, horns honking. He is pointing. Right there, he says — that’s where it happened. That’s where the screaming children appeared. That’s where I made the picture that the world couldn’t forget.

Huynh Cong “Nick” Ut was 21 on that day more than half a lifetime ago when he stood on the same road, pointed his camera northeast and captured one of history’s most famous images — a naked Vietnamese girl screaming and fleeing after South Vietnamese planes looking for Viet Cong insurgents attacked with napalm from the air.   Continue reading “‘Napalm girl’ photographer returns _ with iPhone, Instagram”

DANNEMORA, N.Y. (AP) — Investigators are looking into whether civilian employees or private contractors helped two convicted killers obtain the power tools they used to break out of a maximum-security state prison near the Canadian border, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday.

Cuomo said during a round of appearances on television morning news shows that he’d be shocked if a prison guard was involved in the escape from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, 20 miles south of the border.   Continue reading “Cuomo: Prison escape probe focuses on likely ‘inside’ help”

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The United States government is defending itself against a Chinese tourist’s $10 million injury claim with the testimony of a surprising witness — a border agent the government initially fired and charged criminally in the case.

Customs and Border Protection employee Robert Rhodes, who was cleared of wrongdoing and reinstated, said he jumped at the chance to testify in the lawsuit filed by Zhao Yan, even though the U.S. government’s prosecution of him left him bankrupt.   Continue reading “US government challenges Chinese tourist’s injury claim”

That little black bug sticking out of the phone is the Smart Geiger. This pic was from my first attempt with it, using the probe from the side. I got an active reading with this radioactive Thorium treated lantern mantle, but it was very low. Note that on IPhone 5S it didn't work at all though. Guns America – by Paul Helinski

We are all living in a potential radiation hotzone of the future. Radiation is silent, invisible, has no smell, and there is a good chance that we all will have to deal with radiation in our lifetimes. It could be, as NWO kingpin George Soros says, an all out nuclear war with China and Russia. It could just be that a few nukes pop a couple hundred miles in the air, using our nationwide electrical grid as a giant antenna to wipe out our power stations (an EMP). That would lead to a meltdown of our nuke plants plants all over the country, which need a power grid to cool themselves. If you think you are “prepping,” but you aren’t prepared to measure both high and low levels of radiation (two distinct issues), it might be time to take a look at your options.   Continue reading “Prepping 101: $30 Geiger Counter for Android/IPhone – Works! Americans garden for many reasons. For some, it’s pleasant to get some fresh air after a long day in the office. Others do it for aesthetic pleasure. However, for those striving for self-reliance on their off-the-grid homestead, gardening is an essential component in the family’s food production operation. In many cases, both time and space limit the size of a garden.

To address those seeking to grow a large portion of their own food on limited resources, author and organic plant breeder Carol Deppe has written an informative book, The Resilient Gardener: Food Production and Self-Reliance in Uncertain Times.   Continue reading “The 5 Most Important Crops You Need For Survival”

elderly man windowThe Guardian – by Steven W Thrasher

You’re never too old to be killed by an interaction with a police officer in the United States: though the Guardian’s analysis of every police killing in 2015 to date found that the average age of people killed by police is 37, some 20 people killed this year have been in their 60s, seven in their 70s, and two in their 80s – about six elderly people a month.

The circumstances behind the killing of elder citizens by police mirror the many reasons why Americans of all ages (some 473 in total this year as of the time this was published) are killed by police.   Continue reading “Imagine: you call the police to check on your grandfather, and they shoot him”

Gunwatch – by Dean Weingarten

A gun turn in (buy back) event was held in San Jose, California, on the 6th of June, 2015.   The number of firearms turned in was meager for such a large population center, with one fourth turned in by one person.  There are no photographs of the firearms turned in available yet, but it is highly probable that the 47 firearms turned in by one person were the collection of a family member who died.  That is a common source of guns turned in at these events.  From mercurynews.com :   Continue reading “CA: San Jose Gun Turn in (Buy back) gets 47 from one person”

Alcohol StillPreparing for SHTF

First a little background, a chemistry lesson if you will, before we get started. Ethyl alcohol or grain alcohol is also known as ethanol or even better known as “drinking alcohol”. Its chemical compound is C2H5OH, and it is produced by fermentation.

Ethanol is, different from Isopropyl alcohol (C3H80), which is more commonly known as rubbing alcohol. Do not confuse the two. Both are produced by the fermentation process however, the fermenting agent for isopropyl is a bacterium while, ethyl uses a yeast.   Continue reading “10 Survival Uses for Alcohol”

Zero Hedge – by Pheonix Capital Research

More and more analysts are beginning to take note of the “War on Cash.” However, they’re missing the fact that the actual template for what’s coming to the US first appeared in Europe back in 2012.

Back in March of 2012, when the EU Crisis first began to spin out of control, then Prime Minister of France Nicolas Sarkozy openly called for the renegotiation of the Schengen Treaty: the treaty that established the 26-nation EU as a “borderless” entity in which individuals could move from one country to another with little difficulty and which also made trade among EU members easier.   Continue reading “The European “Template” For Dealing With Crises: Freezing Accounts, Bank Holidays, and Capital Controls…”
