Remember how Twitter kicked out Milo Yiannopolis for being mean and censored the hashtag #HillaryforPrison?
Well, I guess that censorship is a one-way street because the repugnant hashtag #RapeMelania was trending this morning and no one at Twitter seemed to feel that was worth censoring. Other recent allowable Twitter trends have been #DieWhitesDie and #AssassinateTrump – but that’s cool too. Continue reading “Where’s the Feminist Outrage as #RapeMelania Trends on Twitter?”
A Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed in the line of duty Sunday, police said.
Sheriff Adam Christianson said that a Dep. Dennis Wallace, a 20-year veteran of the force, was shot twice at point-blank range around 8:30 a.m. while investigating a suspicious person and vehicle near a fishing access in Hughson, a city roughly 10 miles outside of Modesto. Just as 2008 candidate Obama, Trump evokes “hope for change” as in these five minutes:

If you are an illegal immigrant in America with a criminal record your days are numbered, according to President-elect Donald Trump.
Following up on his campaign promise to build a security wall on the southern border and deport any undocumented immigrants with criminal records immediately upon taking office, Trump sat down with 60 Minutes on Sunday to reiterate his plans. In perhaps the least ceremonious victory for U.S. and international activists, the decidedly abhorrent Trans-Pacific Partnership — a corporate giveaway of phenomenal proportions — effectively died yesterday.
Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle announced the much-maligned, so-called ‘free trade’ deal — which would have inextricably tied the U.S. to Asia and given corporations unprecedented powers over governments — would not be pursued in the lame duck session before President-elect Donald Trump takes office. Leon Russell, who emerged in the 1970s as one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most dynamic performers and songwriters after playing anonymously on dozens of pop hits as a much-in-demand studio pianist in the 1960s, died on Sunday at age 74.
Russell, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, died in his sleep in Nashville, Tennessee, his wife said in a statement on his website. Continue reading “Leon Russell, musician known for dynamic performances, dies at 74”

Over the past decade, at least 21 Namibian children have died after receiving vaccines – five of the deaths occurred this year – but Namibian authorities are not fully investigating these cases or releasing any information related to them.
Inquests submitted to the police for at least 13 cases of vaccine deaths since 2007 have not been investigated, and health ministry officials are refusing to talk to the press. Continue reading “Namibia: Police are sitting on vaccine death cases, won’t investigate”
Nothing about Donald Trump’s candidacy for the presidency was normal. After all, he defeated more than a dozen recognized names in the Republican Party – even after he refused to promise he would support the GOP candidate if it wasn’t him.
Nor was his stunning-to-many election victory over Hillary Clinton, an icon of one of the most powerful political families in the nation, routine. He won states that Republicans had not won in decades. Continue reading “Trump Transition Web Site Gives Lengthy Mention of “10th Amendment””
Kathryn Stellmack expects the world from Donald Trump.
After listening to his speeches and casting her vote for him, she expects Trump to toughen immigration laws, restore lost jobs, upend a corrupt political system, build a wall on the border, and be, as the millionaire put it, the “greatest jobs president that God has ever created.” Continue reading “Supporters to Trump: break campaign promises at your peril”
My name is Jaime Nabrynski and you may recognize me as “the crying girl” at Hillary Clinton’s election party at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Multiple photos and videos were taken of me sobbing that night, used by media outlets all over the world the morning after the election. Since news of Donald Trump’s victory officially broke, I’ve received dozens of texts, emails and Facebook messages from devastated friends, family and strangers alike, letting me know that my tears in those photos represented what they too were feeling that night. The photos capture so much, but the words to describe those feelings we share? I don’t know if I have all of those yet. Continue reading “My Picture Went Viral After Hillary Clinton’s Defeat. Here’s How I’m Channeling My Grief”
Sky gazers are about to be treated to a celestial event that hasn’t been observed in almost 70 years and won’t come again for many years to come.
The “record-breaking” supermoon slated for Nov. 14, known as the Beaver Moon or Frost Moon, will be exceptionally large and bring with it higher than normal tides.
Appearing up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than an average full moon, as noted by sciencealert.com, November’s supermoon could very well be a once-in-a-lifetime event for many. Continue reading “November’s ‘Beaver’ Supermoon Will Be the Biggest In Almost 70 Years”
