Water has apparently become so scarce in the Golden State that some municipalities are about to begin piping recycled sewer water back into people’s homes, new reports indicate.

The California State Water Resources Control Board recently announced new regulations that will allow treated wastewater to be reused as drinking water, though it won’t make up 100 percent of what comes through the tap.  Continue reading “California to start recycling sewer water into tap water… and yes, it’s full of insane chemicals”

According to a World Health Organization doctor, a global pandemic is imminent, and no one will be prepared for it when it hits. Dr. Tedros Adhanom, director-general for WHO, has said that the next outbreak that will hit us will be a “terrible” one, causing a large death all over the world.

“Humanity is more vulnerable in the face of epidemics because we are much more connected and we travel around much more quickly than before,” said WHO specialist in infectious diseases Dr. Sylvie Brand. “We know that it is coming, but we have no way of stopping it,” said Brand. According to Dr. Tedros, the flu is extremely dangerous to everyone living on the planet. This fear was also promoted by experts at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland last month.   Continue reading “Humanity’s WIPEOUT Foreshadowed? JABALIYA, Gaza Strip (AP) — An explosion struck the convoy of the Palestinian prime minister on Tuesday as he was making a rare visit to Gaza, in what his Fatah party called an assassination attempt it blamed on Gaza militants.

The blast further complicated what already is a troubled reconciliation process between Gaza’s ruling Hamas militant group and the internationally backed Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. It also cast a cloud over a meeting later Tuesday at the White House, where international representatives were to discuss economic development and the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.   Continue reading “Explosion strikes Palestinian PM’s convoy in Gaza”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A previously withheld video has been released showing the near-constant heckling of Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin during a moderated talk about the economy at UCLA. The university initially balked at releasing the video, saying that Mnuchin “subsequently withdrew” his agreement for it to be posted online.

The video shows audience members hissing at Mnuchin throughout the Feb. 26 event in Los Angeles. The hissing was so loud the secretary barely spoke a sentence without commenting about it. Seven minutes into Mnuchin’s opening remarks, three different women shouted at him and were either carried or escorted out of the room by police after they ignored warnings to stop. They yelled that the U.S. is bullying North Korea and criticized President Donald Trump’s tax legislation.   Continue reading “Previously withheld UCLA video shows heckling of Mnuchin”

If the government puts a GPS tracker on you, your car, or any of your personal effects, it counts as a search—and is therefore protected by the Fourth Amendment.

The Supreme Court clarified and affirmed that law on Monday, when it ruled on Torrey Dale Grady v. North Carolinabefore sending the case back to that state’s high court. The Court’s short but unanimous opinion helps make sense of how the Fourth Amendment, which protects against unreasonable search and seizure, interacts with the expanding technological powers of the U.S. government.

One week after Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited California to officially announce the Justice Department’s lawsuit challenging the state’s “sanctuary” laws during a speech in Sacramento, President Trump is preparing to visit the Sunshine state on Tuesday in his first visit since taking office.

And as one might expect, his planned visit is already generating controversy in the state. Though the LAPD says they haven’t received any permits for a “Woman’s March” sized rally, small protests are being planned throughout the city – including in Beverly Hills, where he will attend a fundraising dinner Tuesday evening, as the Fresno Bee reported.  Continue reading ““We’re Prepared For Anything” – Police Brace For Protest, Unrest As Trump Visits California”
