From the world’s highest peaks to the deepest depths of the ocean floor, there isn’t a single place on the planet that’s safe from the scourge of plastic pollution.

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) — President Donald Trump’s campaign manager predicted Saturday that the president and his family will become “a dynasty that will last for decades,” transforming the Republican Party while hewing to conservative values.

Speaking to a convention of Republican Party delegates in Indian Wells, California, Brad Parscale also said the campaign’s goal is to build a national army of 2 million trained volunteers, far beyond the president’s 2016 organization, that in California could help the GOP retake a string of U.S. House seats captured by Democrats last year.  Continue reading “Trump Family Is Building ‘Dynasty’ To Last ‘Decades,’ Says Campaign Manager”

Chesterfield Township, MI — Jonathan Vanderhagen, 35, was a caring father who watched the system take his son from him and place in in harm’s way. Despite his repeated protests, Vanderhagen says his son Killian died as a result of this system’s action. After he said the court’s decision to place Killian in the custody of his mother led to the child’s death, Vanderhagen took to social media to peacefully voice his opinion about what happened. His peaceful posts, however, have led to him being kidnapped and thrown in a cage. Continue reading “Grieving dad jailed for repeatedly criticizing court system in Macomb County”

A federal judge in California on Monday reinstated a ban on a Trump administration policy that would restrict migrants’ ability to apply for asylum at the southern border.

U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar had issued a nationwide injunction in July blocking the rule, which would make most asylum-seekers who pass through another country before reaching the U.S. ineligible for asylum, with exceptions for victims of trafficking and migrants who have been denied asylum in the countries they traveled through. A University of California-Los Angeles professor is calling not only for gun control but also “qualifications” to freedom of speech in order to combat mass shootings fueled by racism, a phenomenon he says has only come to light since President Donald Trump’s election.

UCLA professor Douglas Kellner states that until just two years ago, “all of the previous shootings were rather divorced from sociopolitical factors,” claiming that while mass shootings occurred in the past, they were the results of “individual crises of young men,” having to do with things such as family life or school trouble, in an interview published by the university.  Continue reading “UCLA prof: ‘I don’t see the Second Amendment as absolute, just like I don’t see the First Amendment as absolute’”
