At least 11 local news stations in the United States were caught airing the same scripted segment about Amazon, and their role during the COVID-19 pandemic. The segment played like a commercial for Amazon, even touting the company’s ability to “keep its employees safe and healthy,” during this difficult time, despite the fact that many workers have been organizing to protest against unsafe conditions and lack of hazard pay. Lake Geneva, WI — To those who have been paying attention over the last couple of months, the mainstream media’s coverage of the pandemic has been unethical, inconsistent, divisive, and in some instances outright false. The media has gone from telling Americans not to wear masks to shaming them for not wearing masks. As TFTP reported Tuesday, police officers in Minneapolis were caught on video as they responded to a call over an alleged “forgery in progress.” In the disturbing 10-minute viral video, officers proceeded to hold down 46-year-old George Floyd with a knee on his neck — for over five minutes — until he died. After the incident, police claimed Floyd was “resisting” so they had no choice but to use this force. However, new videos have surfaced showing a compliant Floyd, with handcuffs on — not resisting. Over 300 people were arrested in Hong Kong on Wednesday during demonstrations over national security legislation which would put the semi-autonomous city further under Beijing’s boot. A Florida man in his 70s fatally shot a home intruder who busted through the glass front door and began attacking his wife on Tuesday, investigators said.
