The Mexican border city of Nuevo Laredo has been transformed into a warzone after the arrest of a top cartel boss. Burning vehicles littered the streets, and heavy gunfighting was reported causing the U.S. consulate to go on lockdown and the U.S. border crossing to be temporarily shut down on Monday. With traders expecting a drop Crude inventories in the latest week, moments ago the DOE surprise the oil market when, in an echo of last night’s API report, it said that crude stocks actually grew by an unexpectedly large 4.345MM barrels, just shy of the highest weekly build of 2022 (it rose 4.5mm in the week of Feb 18), and printed far higher than the expected -1.8MM drop. It was not immediately clear how such a large crude build was possible unless demand destruction has already struck. Democrats in the New York State Assembly and State Senate are looking to approve $345 million in taxpayer funds to open health insurance rolls to illegal aliens.
The plan, dubbed “Coverage4All,” would ensure that the state’s nearly 800,000 illegal aliens would be eligible for health insurance programs at a cost to the state’s taxpayers. The plan remains before the State Senate Finance Committee and would provide insurance to about 46,000 illegal aliens. TOKYO (AP) — A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake shook off the coast of Fukushima in northern Japan on Wednesday evening, triggering a tsunami advisory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a virtual address to the U.S. Congress on Wednesday morning.
In addition to pleading for more military assistance against the Russian invasion and more sanctions against Russia, Zelensky suggested NATO and other postwar institutions have become obsolete and recommended replacing them with “new alliances” that could deter aggression and respond more effectively to humanitarian crises. U.S. border agents encountered 164,973 migrants at the southern border in February, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data released on Tuesday.

More than 100 municipal workers were terminated for refusing to get a second vaccination dose required under New York City’s COVID-19 mandates, a spokesperson for Mayor Eric Adams confirmed Monday.
The 101 city workers who lost their jobs Friday for failing to comply with the mandate were among 3,247 notified by the city that they needed to receive a second dose by a March 11 deadline. Of those 3,247 city workers, 3,146 — or 97% — submitted proof of getting a second dose within the required timeframe. President Biden has signed a $1.5 Trillion spending bill that sends $13.6 Billion to Ukraine and funds the Government until September. The bill itself passed the Senate with a bipartisan 68-31 vote.
As we’ve reported before, the Biden administration’s only way to pass gun control at all is by backdoor means. So, of course, they’ve hidden gun control in a massive spending bill designed to fund the Government. Hidden within this 3000-page bill were two significant pieces of gun control. Ukraine will respond “harshly and promptly” to any unfriendly gestures, including Israel’s decision to suspend the visa-free regime and demand electronic permits of Ukrainians wishing to enter the country, President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff said on Tuesday.
