Paul Ryan is front and center once again, calling for cuts in Medicare and food stamps. Ryan said that spending on food stamps had increased by 40% in the last four years, trying to put forth the notion that those on food stamps are getting 40% more than they were four years ago.
The fact is the increase in spending is due to the increase in those who have been forced onto food stamps because the corporate elitists that own Paul Ryan exported their jobs through NAFTA, CAFTA, and GATT. The truth is the amount the individual food stamp recipient receives has been decreased by 30% in the last four years due to a 30% decline in the value of the dollar. A Portland man who offered four times to pay a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent thousands of dollars to have his estranged wife and daughter deported last year was sentenced Monday to four months in prison.
Antonio O. Burgos, 48, and his wife were in the process of divorcing when he followed an ICE deportation officer from the agency’s Portland office to Vancouver last May, offered the agent money to deport his family to El Salvador after the officer pulled over and confronted him and gave the officer his contact information after he was turned down, federal prosecutors said. Nearly 12 million Americans remain out of the United States labor force as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) approved 30,000 more foreign workers businesses can bring to the country to take blue-collar U.S. jobs.
As Breitbart News reported, Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan said this week that he would approve an additional 30,000 H-2B foreign visa workers to be brought to the U.S. by businesses to take blue-collar, non-agricultural jobs. This comes as former DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen approved an additional 30,000 H-2B foreign workers in March. MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) — A former emergency medical services chief in New Jersey has admitted falsifying patient care records in order to bilk insurance companies to collect money for services that were not billable.
Donald Horner on Tuesday pleaded guilty to insurance fraud and tampering with public records. Under terms of a plea agreement, the 67-year-old must make restitution, forfeit his emergency medical technician certification, perform community service and pay a $1,300 fine. The Trump Administration is looking into altering how it determines the national poverty level, which may put some Americans at risk of losing access to welfare programs, according to Bloomberg. The move might occur from changing how inflation is calculated in the “official poverty measure” according to a regulatory filing by White House Office of Management and Budget. That formula has been used for decades to try and determine where the poverty line is and what people qualify for social programs and federal benefits.
