Police are investigating a suspicious package sent to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz in Sunrise, Florida.

Earlier Wednesday, suspicious packages were sent to the homes of the Clintons and Obamas and CNN’s headquarters. Democratic donor George Soros had a similar package sent to him this week. The packages sent to former President Barack Obama and the Clintons were intercepted by the Secret Service during routine mail screening procedures. Update VI: NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio said during a Wednesday press conference that the pipe bomb sent to CNN’s New York office was “clearly an act of terror.”

NYPD commissioner James O’Neill said police found an envelope of white powder along with the bomb at the Time Warner building. “We’ve seen this before. We’ve seen worse. Guatemala has stationed guards and barbed wire barricades at key border crossing with Honduras in an apparent attempt to stop more migrants marching towards US.

Two explosive devices were found in mail sent to former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Secret Service said Wednesday.

The devices were similar to one found on Monday at the home of the billionaire philanthropist George Soros, and federal authorities were investigating whether they were linked, two law enforcement officials said.

Former Ecuadorean president Rafael Correa says his country’s incumbent government will extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange — who has taken shelter in the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK — to the United States, despite its legal obligation to protect the Australian national, who has also obtained Ecuadorian citizenship.

An employee of a leading Washington DC think tank has reportedly taken credit for the resent purge of alternative media by Facebook and Twitter, claiming it to be necessary to fight against ‘fake news’ from Russia and China.

In the latest act of apparent censorship of political speech online, US-based tech giants this month shut down hundreds of user accounts. Some belonged to well-established alternative media outlets with hundreds of thousands of followers, like The Free Thought Project or The Anti Media.
