This morning, I ran into a neighbor, a nice young man in his mid-thirties. We exchanged the usual talk of, “How’s it going?” and I noticed he wasn’t his usual jovial, upbeat self. He just said he was dealing with a lot. So we said goodbye, wishing each other well.

Apple announced in a statement on Wednesday that it plans to accelerate U.S. investment and create thousands of new jobs.

For years Apple Inc. has been criticized for outsourcing manufacturing to China.

Frightening climate change predictions by the UN would be void if the group from the University of Exeter is correct. LOS ANGELES (AP) — City officials couldn’t find any records that the fire marshal conducted required annual inspections at a California home that doubled as a private school where authorities say 13 malnourished siblings were kept captive in filthy conditions by their parents.
