HAARETZ – Schools will remain closed on the High Holy Days in Baltimore County, the home to several large Jewish communities, for the 2018-19 school year following an extended debate.

It may be still be too blue for English speakers, but authorities in Canada have ruled that the word “fuck” is no longer taboo on French language broadcasts as its use is so commonplace.

A driverless shuttle bus crashed less than two hours after it was launched in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The city’s officials had been hosting an unveiling ceremony for the bus, described as the US’ first self-driving shuttle pilot project geared towards the public, before it crashed with a semi-truck.

BEIJING, Nov 9 (Reuters) – China’s top state oil major Sinopec, one of the country’s top banks and its sovereign wealth fund have agreed to help develop Alaska’s gas sector as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit, company and government statements said on Thursday.

The Syrian Army has liberated the city of Abu Kamal, destroying the last Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) stronghold in Syria. Abu Kamal’s fall signals the end of IS as a terrorist group, army commanders said.
