AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — George Prescott Bush is gearing up to run for a little-known but powerful office in a state where his family already is a political dynasty and where his Hispanic roots could help extend a stranglehold on power Republicans have enjoyed for two decades.

The 36-year-old Fort Worth attorney says he is close to settling on campaigning for Texas land commissioner next year. He doesn’t expect to make up his mind until he knows what Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a fellow Republican, decides to do.

I can easily prove in no uncertain terms that ANY antidepressant will raise serotonin levels high enough to block an Ecstasy trip.

There are a couple reasons why an antidepressant will crank you up much higher than Ecstasy without (totally) tripping you out and without killing you, even though the end result is harder on your emotional neurons and will kill them faster than a full time Ecstasy high, and it’s easy to prove.

WASHINGTON – In the wake of Vice President Joe Biden’s promise that “there is executive action that can be taken” regarding weapons bans, Michael Hammond, the legislative counsel for Gun Owners of America, warned Barack Obama could expand the use of government psychiatrists to prevent gun ownership.

Hammond set the stage by saying, “Barack Obama doesn’t have the votes to get semi-automatics banned, therefore the possibility he will go crazy and regulate them through executive order.

The USS Jacksonville, a large nuclear submarine, has broken its periscope after colliding with a vessel which escaped unscathed. This is the latest collision to involve a US vessel in the busy and tense oil chokepoint of the Strait of Hormuz.

The American sub was performing a routine pre-dawn patrol when seamen heard a “thump”, according to a Navy source who spoke to several news agencies. The crew tried to ascertain the damage by looking into its periscope, only to realize it was no longer working. The other periscope on the submarine revealed that the first one had been“sheared off”.

The standoff between Japan and China escalated to a new level after both sides sent their jets to tail each other in airspace near the cluster of disputed islands that has created tension between the two powers.

A Chinese Y-8 transport plane flew near the vicinity of the Diaoyu or Senkaku islands (as they are known by the Chinese and the Japanese respectively) on what the Defense Ministry in Beijing described as a “routine patrol” on Thursday. It was immediately tailed by a Japanese F-15. Chinese authorities then ordered two more J-10 planes into the air, to perform “verification and monitoring” on the Japanese aircraft.

PANDA (People Against the National Defense Authorization Act, the NDAA) announces the kickoff of Operation Homeland Liberty.

On January 3, 2013, PANDA launched Operation Homeland Liberty. The goal of this operation is to stop the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA (National Defense authorization Act) in all 50 states across America by December 31st, 2013.

We are launching this effort for two main reasons. Firstly, we now have the network and resources necessary to push back against this encroachment by the Federal government. The propaganda machine is probing every orifice looking for a point of entry as we American nationals stand in determination that the infringements upon our Bill of Rights are going to stop forthwith.  The communists on MSNBC are all but breaking down into a titsy fit as they admit that their 2nd Amendment infringements cannot pass through any legitimate constitutional process.

They have taken to telling the most blatant lies, saying 75% want high capacity magazines banned.  Oh yeah, we are going to believe that with a million high capacity clips on back order with just one company.  And in reality this is what is killing the propaganda as the gun, clip, and ammo sale numbers cannot be distorted through lies based on fabricated percentages.  The only poll that has been accomplished in reference to further infringement on our 2nd Amendment says 74% are stating emphatically, “No more”.

The Truth Wins – by Michael Snyder

Piers Morgan is getting on television every night and flat out lying to the American people about gun control.  Nearly every statistic that he quotes is inaccurate and he fails to acknowledge a whole host of statistics that would instantly invalidate the arguments that he is trying to make.

Yes, the UK has a lower gun murder rate than the United States does, but what Piers Morgan fails to tell you is that the overall rate of violent crime in the UK is about 4 times higher than it is in the United States.  A woman in the UK is not allowed pull out a gun to protect herself against a gang of potential rapists.  So perhaps that explains why the UK has about 125 percent more rape victims per 100,000 people than the United States does.

Newly elected Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto recently told CNN that while he is opposed to legalized marijuana for his own country, the recent landmark legalization of recreational pot in Colorado and Washington, “could bring us to rethinking the strategy.”

President Nieto’s admission is significant for a nation that is not only a large producer of exported marijuana but is also one plagued with horrific drug violence – at least 55,000 people have been killed in Mexico in just the last six years by drug cartels and law enforcement due to outdated prohibition policies and laws.
