HOUSTON — Houston’s police chief told jurors on Tuesday that the 2010 videotaped beating of a black teen burglary suspect made him “sick to my stomach” and gave the police department a “black eye.”

The House late Wednesday voted to stop the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from entering into new contracts to buy millions of rounds of ammunition until DHS reports to Congress on the need for the ammo, and its cost.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) proposed an amendment to the DHS spending bill for 2014 that would require the report to Congress before it can pursue plans to buy 1.1 billion rounds of ammunition. In Philadelphia, a Philadelphia police officer was arrested May 23for stealing drugs and money from a suspected drug dealer. Officer Jeffrey Walker was arrested after an FBI sting operation in which agents recorded him bragging about how easy it was to rip off drug dealers. Walker and a federal informant concocted a scheme to plant cocaine in a suspect’s car, then rob him. Walker did just that, arresting the suspect, then entering his home and stealing $15,000. An Iranian envoy says Tehran will drop its lawsuit with the International Court of Arbitration in Geneva against Russia if Moscow honors its contract in delivering S-300 air defense systems to Iran.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed legislation into law Wednesday that prevents the public release of crime scene photos and video evidence from the Connecticut school shootings that took the lives of 20 first graders and six school employees.

A computer virus that steals bank details and empties money from accounts has been found on Facebook by security experts.

Trend Micro discovered the malicious links were being posted by fake Facebook profiles on popular brand pages, such as the U.S. National Football League.

As we’ve covered here at Freedom Outpost before, the Federal government has been given absolutely no constitutional authority to restrict or regulate arms in any capacity. They have tyrannically taken it upon themselves to do so. However, under the Obama administration, they have been going into gun dealers in states that border Mexico and obtaining information on individuals that purchase certain weapons with certain features within a matter of days, which seems to be clear violation of the Fourth Amendment as well as, the Second Amendment. WASHINGTON — New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Wednesdayimposed new regulations to close major disclosure loopholes for money spent on New York state elections.
