A group of engineers from MIT have created analog calculators out of living cells, according to a paper published online in Nature yesterday. The so-called Monsanto Protection Act signed into law earlier this year caused such an outrage that people around the world are planning to protest the biotech company later this month. Now a United States senator is expected to try and repeal that law.

According to the Huffington Post, Sen. Senior Obama administration officials where notified almost a year ago that an inspector general was looking into the IRS’s treatment of conservative groups, a watchdog said on Friday.

Were you to look at official government statistics that calculate our rate of price inflation for food, energy, clothing, and other consumer goods, you’d think that prices were as stable today as they were under the gold standard.

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the CPI (Consumer Price Index) inflation rate remains well below the Federal Reserve’s 2.5% threshold.
