Genesee County, MI — Benjamin Reinhart, a disgraced officer with Genesee County received some great news this week. Despite being caught up in a child sexual trafficking sting, he won’t have to go to jail and he won’t have to register publicly as a sex offender.

Reinhart was “sentenced” this week as part of a plea deal, to just five years of probation. The Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team, or GHOST, caught the officer in April attempting to lure a child for sex. He was on duty at the time. The state of New York faces a looming crisis as the vaccine mandate deadline threatens to create a shortage of thousands of hospital staffers refusing to get the shot.

According to the New York Times, roughly 84 percent of New York’s “450,000 hospital workers and 83 percent of its 45,400 nursing home employees had been fully vaccinated,” indicating that tens of thousands of people will either be fired or laid off when the vaccine mandate deadline for healthcare workers hits Monday, September, 27. Facing those kinds of shortages, certain hospitals will have no choice but to cut back or ration certain procedures. A flight from Boston to San Juan landed Wednesday evening with one passenger restrained to a chair with multiple seatbelt extenders after an insane mid-air altercation, according to an FBI affidavit obtained by The Daily Beast. The passenger, a man named Khalil El Dahr, had attempted to make a phone call near the end of the flight and “became angry about the call’s unsuccess.” Roughly 45 minutes before landing, he pulled himself out of his seat and rushed towards the cockpit, yelling in Spanish and Arabic that someone should shoot and kill him. Body brokers are using Chinese transportation to move body parts of Americans all around the world. One recent shipment contained three tons of body parts valued at $67,204 in a container that was kept at 5 degrees to keep the parts from spoiling.

The families of the deceased didn’t realize that their loved ones’ parts were being sent all over the globe. Some say they might not have minded if they had been told about it when they signed but others were very upset as you may well imagine. Congress is once again trying to fix a very specific problem with a broad solution. We support the SHOP SAFE Act’s underlying goal of protecting consumers from unsafe and defective counterfeit products.  The problem is that SHOP SAFE tackles the issue in a way that would make it incredibly difficult for small businesses and individuals to sell anything online. It will do little to stop sophisticated counterfeiters and will ultimately do consumers more harm than good, by obstructing competition and hindering consumers’ ability to resell their own used goods. The FBI has opened an investigation into the assault of a female solider by several male Afghan refugees at the US Army’s Fort Bliss base, in New Mexico.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — One of the founders of the Taliban and the chief enforcer of its harsh interpretation of Islamic law when they last ruled Afghanistan said the hard-line movement will once again carry out executions and amputations of hands, though perhaps not in public.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Mullah Nooruddin Turabi dismissed outrage over the Taliban’s executions in the past, which sometimes took place in front of crowds at a stadium, and he warned the world against interfering with Afghanistan’s new rulers.

Sep. 23—COLUMBUS — “We gotta throw the football. We gotta try to make something happen,” Gov. Mike DeWine said Thursday as he announced another round of lottery incentives to drive up vaccination rates, this time among younger Ohioans.
