Two New York boys are recovering after they were inadvertently trapped for about eight hours in a snowbank when a plow operator pushed snow over them, not realizing they were there.

AUSTIN, Texas — A gunman targeted three downtown public buildings — the Mexican consulate, federal courthouse and police headquarters — before police shot and killed him, according to local media reports.
Police said the unidentified man was suspected of opening fire on buildings at around 2:30 a.m. local time.

The United States is in the midst of renewing its 35-year-old commitment to supply Israel with oil in emergency situations after the pact expired on Tuesday, a U.S. State Department official said.
The United States “is in close contact with the government of Israel on extending the longstanding memorandum of understanding” between the two countries on emergency oil supplies, a State Department official said on the condition of anonymity. WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is expected to release on Wednesday a contentious and long-delayed environmental regulation to curb emissions of ozone, a smog-causing pollutant linked to asthma, heart disease and premature death.
The sweeping regulation, which would aim at smog from power plants and factories across the country, particularly in the Midwest, would be the latest in a series of Environmental Protection Agency controls on air pollution that wafts from smokestacks and tailpipes. Such regulations, released under the authority of the Clean Air Act, have become a hallmark of President Obama’s administration. Crimeans should pay off their debts to Ukrainian banks despite now living under Russian law, a Russian Central Bank official was quoted as saying, marking a change in position by Moscow which had suggested ignoring any payment demands.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon will deploy more than 2,000 National Guardsmen tonight to prevent a recurrence of the rioting that rocked the town of Ferguson after a grand jury cleared Police Officer Darren Wilson in the death of teenager Michael Brown.
“The violence we saw last night cannot be repeated,” Nixon said sternly.

While U.S. media profit off the so-called suspense regarding the kangaroo grand jury “decision” for Ferguson, Missouri killer cop Darren Wilson, cops across the country are raping children, killing their wives, and selling child pornography with ZERO media scrutiny.
NFL players Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice have been crucified ad nauseum by state-run media, allegedly because domestic violence and child abuse are big issues that need to be addressed in this country. A grand jury on Monday chose not to file criminal charges against Darren Wilson, the white police officer who shot and killed unarmed black teenager Michael Brown on a street in Ferguson, Missouri, in August.

A St. Louis County grand jury ended deliberations Monday in the case of Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, whose fatal shooting of an unarmed black teen in August touched off weeks of sometimes violent protests, an attorney for the teen’s family told USA TODAY.
