House lawmakers grilled CDC and NIH representatives yesterday in a hearing on the ongoing Ebola crisis. Democrats on the committee repeated over and over that we would have been better able to handle Ebola if it weren’t for budget cuts.

Even the NIH Director Francis Collins said recently, “Frankly, if we had not gone through our 10-year slide in research support, we probably would have had a vaccine in time for this that would’ve gone through clinical trials and would have been ready.”   Continue reading “NIH and CDC claim they have no money to handle Ebola”

Amir Rappaport reports in today’s edition of Makor Rishon that during
Operation Protective Edge orders came from Washington (assume the White House) not to process any Israeli weapons/ammunition orders.

This was a blanket halt rather than just a halt on supply of Hellfire
missiles.    Continue reading “Israel may shift to domestic production after US halted supplies during Operation Protective Edge”

Last week, four students at Southern Oregon University were told by administrators that they must stop handing out copies of the United States Constitution on campus, or else the Police would be called, and disciplinary action would taken against them.

The administrators confronted the students, who were affiliated with Students for Concealed Carry, and reprimanded them, due to the fact that they were handing out literature, in an area that was outside of the university’s designated “Free Speech Zone.”   Continue reading “Students Reprimanded for Handing Out U.S. Constitutions Outside “Free Speech Zone””

ANKARA, TURKEY—NATO allies Turkey and the United States differed Monday on where they stand on the use of a key air base, with Turkish officials denying reports from the United States that there was a new agreement on its use for operations against Islamic State militants.

The impasse suggests that major differences remain between the two sides. Turkey has said it won’t join the fight against the extremists unless the U.S.-led coalition also goes after the Syrian government of President Bashar Assad, including establishing a no-fly zone and a buffer zone along the Turkish border.

Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said late Sunday that he will seek a temporary restraining order to stop the incinerated belongings of Dallas Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan from being brought to a Louisiana landfill.

However, there is no evidence that this would spread the dreaded disease.

The items include linens, carpets and bedding from Duncan’s apartment. Six truckloads of the “potential Ebola-contaminated material” were burned at a facility in Port Arthur, Texas, on Friday, Caldwell said in a statement.   Continue reading “State attorney general wants to stop ashes of Ebola victim’s belongings from being brought to Louisiana”

Fusion – by Jorge Ramos

The Ebola outbreak continues to spiral out of control. Near the epicenter of the epidemic in West Africa, more than 3,400 people have died and more than 7,000 people have been infected with the virus. Officials are scrambling to contain the outbreak at its source and keep it from spreading.

The World Health Organization is sending doctors to countries where the virus is most prevalent — Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Fusion’s Jorge Ramos spoke to one of the doctors, Dr. Aileen Marty, who recently returned home to Miami after spending 31 days in Nigeria. She says she was surprised what happened when she arrived at Miami International Airport.   Continue reading “Dr. Aileen Marty tells Fusion what she saw fighting Ebola in Nigeria”

Russia and China, the two strategic Eurasian nations, are moving clearly to ultimately break free of the stranglehold of the Dollar System. On September 10 high-level talks took place between the two countries discussing establishment of an interbank money clearing system independent of the US-controlled SWIFT payments system. If enacted it would represent a major step in being able to defend their economies from Washington’s newly-developed weapon of financial warfare against a country that does not behave just as certain powerful circles want.   Continue reading “Russia in Negotiation with China for alternative SWIFT Bank system”

As President Obama’s attention has now drifted from the ‘humanitarian’ mission in Iraq (which initially saw major initial inflows of Jihadists from around the world) to his real goal, we thought the following, somewhat disturbing, map of foreign fighter inflows to Syria would serve to provide context for just what local ‘moderate’ terrorists will be fighting (for the US) against. Welcome to The New Normal Crusades…   Continue reading “Why Is Syria The Most Important Country In The World Right Now?”

The scourge known as the «Islamic» State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) and the Islamic State (IS), has long been in the making: in the think tanks and military planning offices of Israel. The plan to have a group like ISIL rend apart the Arab nation-states of the Middle East is enshrined in two Israeli policies: «A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties» written in 1982 by former Israeli Foreign Ministry official Oded Yinon and «A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm», largely written American neo-conservative war hawk Richard Perle for Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and issued in 1996. The latter report included contributions from Perle’s fellow Israeli agents-of-influence who have migrated in and out of sensitive United States government positions: Douglas Feith and David and Meyrav Wurmser. The group of neocons hired by Netanyahu, known as the «Study Group on A New Israeli Strategy Toward 2000», have dominated U.S. Middle Eastern policy for over two decades and it was this group that was responsible for the disastrous U.S. policies that led to the occupation of Iraq and involvement in radical Islamic rebellions in Libya and Syria.   Continue reading “Israel’s ISIL”

It’s well known that Barack Obama’s “eloquent” delivery is reliant on a teleprompter.  Now we see that Oscar award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow is not so articulate without a script.

Recently, sans script, Paltrow evidenced speaking difficulties as she hosted a fundraiser benefiting the Democrat National Committee at her Brentwood/Mandeville Canyon estate. With Obama standing beside her, she attempted to introduce him to the crowd of several hundred supporters who paid up to $15,000 per plate for dinner in her back yard. Attendees included actors Julia Roberts and Bradley Whitford.   Continue reading “Still going to the movies? THIS is what you support”

Green Forest, AR — A disturbing body cam video was uploaded to Facebook Thursday which shows a Green Forest police officer let go of his K-9 after other officers had a suspect face down and in handcuffs.

The graphic video does not lie.

According to a report by Officer Tucker Mallett of the Green Forest Police Department, he was called to Garden Gate Apartments on the afternoon of Sept. 20 to investigate a possible disturbance involving a gun. Upon arriving, Mallett called Officer Irvin Earles in for backup. CCSO deputy D.J. Harlan, along with his K-9, Tyson, and another deputy arrived to provide further assistance around the same time.   Continue reading “Cop Allows K-9 to Maul Handcuffed, Face Down Suspect, Then Blames it On Him”

On October 9, the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) released a revised report showing that 92% of mass public shootings between January 2009 and July 2014 took place in gun-free zones.

The CPRC report was released in response to an Everytown for Gun Safety study claiming only 14% of mass public shootings took place in gun-free zones. Everytown actually claimed 86% of such incidents occurred in places where guns were allowed.   Continue reading “Report: 92 Percent of Mass Shootings Since 2009 Occurred in Gun-Free Zones”

CARMEL VALLEY, Calif. — Americans should be braced for a long battle against the brutal terrorist group Islamic State that will test U.S. resolve — and the leadership of the commander in chief, says Leon Panetta, who headed the CIA and then the Pentagon as Al Qaeda was weakened and Osama bin Laden killed.

“I think we’re looking at kind of a 30-year war,” he says, one that will have to extend beyond Islamic State to include emerging threats in Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and elsewhere.   Continue reading “Panetta: ’30-year war’ and a leadership test for Obama”

Edward Snowden has hit out at Dropbox and other services he says are “hostile to privacy,” urging web users to abandon unencrypted communication and adjust privacy settings to prevent governments from spying on them in increasingly intrusive ways.

“We are no longer citizens, we no longer have leaders. We’re subjects, and we have rulers,” Snowden told The New Yorker magazine in a comprehensive hour-long interview.   Continue reading “‘Hostile to privacy’: Snowden urges internet users to get rid of Dropbox”
