Mexican Cartels Considering Major AllianceBefore it’s News

Several of Mexico’s major drug cartels are pursuing an alliance, capital daily Reforma said Friday, citing unnamed intelligence sources.

The Juarez organization and Los Zetas are among the groups trying to create a “cartel of cartels,” the newspaper said in a front-page story.

The impetus to band together comes after each of the criminal outfits has experience significant setbacks, the sources told Reforma.

Senior figures from the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel, the Juarez-based mob run by the Carrillo Fuentes family, Los Zetas and the Beltran Leyva cartel met in June in Piedras Negras, a city in the northern border state of Coahuila, according to the sources.    Continue reading “Mexican Cartels Considering Major Alliance”

The session started with bold ambitions on the part of progressive Democrats, whose party controls both houses of the legislature and all statewide elective offices.    Continue reading “California lawmakers end session with bills on plastic bags, gun control”

U.K. May Make Psychological Abuse, Humiliation Jailable OffensesThe New American – by Selwyn Duke

Polygamy may still be illegal in most of the West, but, increasingly, marriages today often include more than just two members: husband, wife — and Big Brother. The latest example is a proposal in the United Kingdom that would make actions such as “bullying” and withholding money in intimate relationships jailable offenses. Writes the Telegraph’s David Barrett:

Husbands who keep their wives downtrodden could face prison under new plans set out by the Government today.

Theresa May, the Home Secretary, published proposals for a new offence of “domestic abuse” that would criminalise men or women who bully, cause psychological harm or deny money to their partners.   Continue reading “U.K. May Make Psychological Abuse, Humiliation Jailable Offenses”

A number of countries around the world have now completely banned GM food and the pesticides that go with them, or have severe restrictions against them. This comes after the world has experienced a massive resistance against Monsanto and other biotech giants that manufacture GMOs and pesticides.

It’s (the resistance) also a result of numerous studies that have emerged showing the environmental and health dangers that are associated with pesticides, as well as health dangers that could be associated with GMOs.   Continue reading “Monsanto Loses GMO Permit In Mexico – Judge Sides With The Bees”

Most of us woke up this morning to news that theUK had raised its terror threat level from “substantial” to “severe.” Considering the competence and trustworthiness of the nation’s Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, there must be some specific threat they’re concerned about to justify instilling fear in a population of 65 million. Nope.

Although the new threat level rates the risk of an attack on the UK to “highly likely,” Home Secretary Theresa May stated that “there was no evidence to suggest one was imminent.” Well then.   Continue reading “A “Ring of Steel” – The UK Spends $80 Million on a Massive Fence to Protect Politicians Ahead of NATO Summit”

Hillary Clinton tested the water, and found out it’s HOT!

Like Barack Obama, Hillary is not presidential material, and she knows it. The difference between her and Obama is she will bow out and not make an ass of herself.

Clinton admitted to Charlie Rose of PBS that the job of president is too difficult for her; that the president must be head of state and government. She’s wrong. Where is the justice? Since 1997, Monsanto has filed 145 lawsuits, or on average about 9 lawsuits every year for 16 straight years, against farmers who have “improperly reused their patented seeds.”

The biotech giant hasn’t lost a single case, either. Not one. This includes when farmers tried to sue Monsanto over cross-pollination of their organic crops with GMO seed. For example, a federal court dismissed one of those cases, saying that it couldn’t protect Monsanto against unfair lawsuits should they side in the farmers’ favor.   Continue reading “Monsanto Sues Farmers for 16 Straight Years over GMOs, NEVER Loses”
