Some may call it a self imposed exile, but several years ago we separated ourselves from so-called “society”. It’s a 90 minute ride to even get to a town from here, mostly across dirt ranch road, some of it “primitive” (white knuckles). About a year ago, our Ford Bronco died, and we got swindled out of $3000 for a replacement truck that…well, long story, but suffice it to say we haven’t had a vehicle since then. We haven’t left the ranch in about a year. The handful of times we had visitors since then, they have been so kind as to bring us up some small amount of groceries for a “treat” or two, but we gained something very special in that time – perspective. You’d think the only thing happening in the world right now is the Trayvon Martin case. Perhaps that’s the intention of TPTB. In the last few days of the Zimmerman trial, over 20 children were shot in Chicago, but no one really noticed. I agree without argument or ceremony that both sides, Zimmerman and Trayvon, were in the wrong. That said, we need to move on to equally or more pressing issues and avoid the theatrics designed to distract us.
Issues that are at least if not more pressing include Bernanke and the FED admitting that dollar collapse would be imminent as soon as the FED stops pumping “QE Infinity”. This is very significant because apparently there are only two alternatives – inflation ad infinitum or dollar collapse. But the country being so involved in the soap opera that was the Zimmerman trial and related events, no body seemed to notice much. Continue reading “What Kind of World?”

The need is clear for anarchists to become productively independent in the effort to cut the necessity to remain in the constructs of capitalism and hierarchy. The reason why black bloc has failed to accomplish autonomy from the state is because this tactic requires being somewhere in which that voice can be heard. But in these major cities there are rules that you must follow, which form legal pressure and natural pressure. In these environments, whatever goods that must be surcharged out of necessity, must come from exploitative capitalism because there is no other way of obtaining needed goods in places where protesting is worth doing. Protesting can not provide a solution because protesters have to be sustained by the products of capitalism. Cyclical consumption is, then, not the enemy of activists. It is the means. The aim of all secret societies is and has been the creation of a philosophic society – in better words a Philadelphia (city of brotherly love). However the truth is that most secret societies have keep the “SECRETS” to themselves under the premise that they alone should be the keepers of the sacred truths and that these secrets should be kept from the prying eyes of the “vulgar” (common people). This was done, by their own words, to keep societal order, but has degenerated into an elite sector that use the sacred truths to their own evil ends, having long ago forgotten the original tenets of the profound truths of which they stand as self proclaimed guards. You shout this at the top of your lungs as if you know what it means. Although, if you really are rebelling – that is cutting yourself from the cord of tyrants – you are most certainly not 99% of the population. 99% may not be implementing the agenda of psychopaths, but 99% of us are also not necessarily doing anything about it. With all that is going on now, it brings to mind something I was told by a friend 15 years ago: when you see a kitchen sink fly by your face you’ll know that the end is near. What brings it to mind is that I could swear I just noticed a kitchen sink fly past my face.

“No one expects the American Inquisition” (apologies to Monty Python). The Spanish Inquisition was said to be the worst time in the history of humanity, culminating in the Dark Ages, a time when man’s forward evolution was stifled by fear. When all is said and done, it may be viewed as a “cakewalk” compared to today. There are striking similarities between that era of ignorance, pain and bloodshed and cause for hiding one’s true beliefs, and now.
During the Spanish Inquisition, anyone who did not accept the authority of Pope Gregory IX was labeled a “heretic” and tortured until they renounced their own beliefs, or died. This was legitimized under a Papal Bull given to Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain. Today, the NDAA gives the same authority to various agencies of the United States government, against those who believe that they still live in a free country.

We hear from many people that they are “stuck in their jobs” and feel that they will be trapped in that rat race forever, afraid to join the growing ranks of the unemployed and those displaced from their homes. They believe that they will forever – or as long as the current paradigm holds out – have to face that daily commute, with their income fixed by whatever future raises of which their employers feel they are worthy. But we are here to tell you that there are many ways to free yourself from that grind.
With the institution of “Obama-care” many employers are cutting employees’ hours – or just closing their doors altogether – because they can’t afford the required “benefits package”. Continue reading “Breakin’ Away”
As we have been offering the remaining space in our community, we have been contacted by many people who wish they could join us, but just can’t leave their current family obligations. Sometimes there is a spouse who is physically ill, sometimes their loved ones just don’t “get it”. Besides expressing their deep longing to live the way we do – personally free and self-sufficient – they give us their apologies for not being able to join us. No apology needed.
To make the decision to stay in the midst of the coming chaos because those to whom you have a deep and loving commitment cannot wrest themselves from their current lifestyle is also a valid and courageous choice – as long as it is made with good information and open eyes. When chaos arrives (and it’s coming on a fast track) those who remain dependent on the systems (corporate, medical, governmental entitlements such as food stamps, disability payments, etc.) will likely be left in the lurch and fending for themselves anyway, but whatever they have to go through, they can hold their heads up as they fight through the throngs of panicked people who don’t understand what happened, and know that theirs was a conscious decision, not a blind following. To those who are staying behind for the sake of others, and not using that as an excuse to stay in what now seems a comfy situation themselves, we applaud your courage and your valor.

Once you have lived the survivalist life – boots on the ground, so to speak — you come to a bedrock realization that certain things were never made to be used long-term. Unfortunately, many of the tools and devices we’ve become accustomed to using fall into this category. Things like generators, electric well pumps, things that require propane gas, gasoline or diesel fuel are all on the road to becoming your next big disappointment when you actually have lived this way for a while.
In everything aeronautical, every device is completely redundant. That is, there are two of everything. Two fuel pumps, two distributors, two sets of spark plugs, etc., so that in mid-flight, if one fails the second takes over seamlessly. When you live the survivalist lifestyle, it’s like being up in an airplane. If something fails, you have to be prepared to have something to take over the job – that you have primary systems and redundant fall-back systems.

The vast majority of the American population will be content to stay in the rat-race, stay in the system, in the life they have been told is good for them – judged by how much they can buy, putting yet more money in the hands of the elite and when the elite begin to do away with the excess population, they will be easily led away.
Some of us understand that there is a better way to live, regardless of what does or does not happen “out there”. Some of us are already here, waiting for you to join us.

Why would anyone take pleasure in adulterating the food supply? Try this theory – if TPTB can make the masses believe that the cheap crap they get fed (butter substitutes from hydrogenated oils, sugar substitutes, flavor substitutes, etc.) is actually good food, then the less the peons need to have money and the more money is available for TPTB to harvest.
