Claiming to be primed for civil war, a Venezuelan general issued orders to prepare for the future use of snipers against anti-government protesters, according to a secret recording of a regional command meeting held three weeks ago at a military base in the northwestern Venezuelan city of Barquisimeto.

MORO, Ore. — A fight pitting organic against commercial farms in the Columbia River Gorge is gaining national attention.

At the center of the fight is Azure Standard, a 2,000-acre wheat farm in Moro. CEO David Stelzer, posted a now-viral message on Azure’s Facebook page saying Sherman County officials would spray Azure Standard with chemicals. Representative Al Green (D-Texas) has called for impeachment proceedings to begin against President Donald Trump. His speech on the House Floor came as a group of Democrats distanced themselves from calls for impeachment.

“I rise today with a heavy heart,” Green began. “I rise today with a sense of responsibility and duty to the people who have elected me, a sense of duty to this country, a sense of duty to the Constitution of the United States of America. The two defendants in the first round of the Bundy Ranch siege trials who were found guilty will not face a retrial on the counts where the jury did not reach a verdict.

According to documents from the prosecution against Todd Engel and Greg Burleson, neither man will face a retrial. Hamilton police aren’t offering any explanation for why two journalists were arrested at the scene of a fatal crash in suburban Hamilton yesterday.

Freelancer Dave Ritchie and Global News’s Jeremy Cohn were arrested at a scene in Waterdown, where a 10-year-old girl was struck and killed by a van on Tuesday evening.

The US and the United Arab Emirates have signed a new agreement that would dictate “the magnitude and conditions” of the US military in the UAE, allowing the United States to send more troops and equipment to the region.
