China has developed a long-range pain gun that works by shooting microwaves into people’s bodies and heating up water under their skin, according to reports, and might plan to fit it onto its ships or for crowd control.

The gun, known as a Poly WB-1, works by projecting a man-sized milimetre beam onto the body, which heats water molecules just under the skin and causes intense pain. The gun is non-lethal and doesn’t seem to cause lasting harm — a point the US government tried to make repeatedly amid criticism of a similar weapon it developed, which it demonstrated by shooting a reporter with one.   Continue reading “China reveals long-range heat ray gun”

A family from aptly named Warrior, Alabama had the opportunity to exact a little Southern justice against a group of home burglars who pressed their luck one too many times – and it happened during a live television interview.

Friday afternoon, a trio of burglars struck the Wyatt family’s rural home. A recently installed security system caught the burglary on camera.FA Ford Ranger is seen approaching the home and a heavyset woman knocks on the front door. Getting no answer, the woman calls for her accomplices to come to the door with her. Authorities are searching for the gunman who left six people dead in three Montgomery County shootings this morning.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said police are looking for 35-year-old Bradley William Stone, of Pennsburg, in the killings. Three others were seriously wounded, officials said.

Houston, Texas – This week, Houston police shot an unarmed man multiple times because he was acting suspicious and not obeying their commands. Two officers fired multiple shots at 38-year old Mike Walker, with some of those shots being fired even after it was obvious that he did not have a gun.

Five people have escaped from a popular Sydney cafe after they had been taken hostage — with others still held inside as neighboring blocks remain locked down, authorities said.
