NEW BRITAIN — Police were seen leading a man away in handcuffs from Central Connecticut State University on Monday afternoon, about 2 1/2 hours after a report of a man with a gun put the campus into lockdown.

There was no immediate word of any arrest or the number of people involved in the incident.

CLAREMORE — The hunt for “Sasquatch” in a section of woods in Rogers County sent one man to the hospital and three people to jail after what they told deputies was an “accidental shooting” Saturday night.

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said the sheriff’s office received word of the shooting about 10 p.m., but preliminary investigation revealed conflicting stories. A report released today has made disturbing allegations that doctors and psychologists working with the US military designed methods for – and became involved in – the systematic torture of terror suspects at Guantanamo Bay.

The Taskforce on Preserving Medical Professionalism in National Security Detention Centers found that, in the decade after 9/11, US military physicians, psychiatrists and psychologists allowed ‘cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment’ of prisoners while acting at the direction of military leaders under both President George W.
