Update: The Electronic Privacy Information Center reports that the court just granted the government more time to decide whether to release the kill switch plan. It now has until January 13.

This month, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that the Department of Homeland Security must make its plan to shut off the internet and cellphone communications available to the American public. You, of course, may now be thinking: What plan?!   Continue reading “The Government’s Secret Plan to Shut Off Cellphones and the Internet, Explained”

The trial of two former Fullerton, California police officers accused of beating a homeless man to death began on Monday.

On July 5, 2011, 37-year-old Kelly Thomas was hospitalized after a run-in with police that saw him tasered multiple times, beaten with batons and the blunt side of a taser, while yelling for his father for help.  Thomas, who suffered from schizophrenia, fell into a coma as a result of the incident and was removed from life support five days later.   Continue reading “California cops go on trial for beating mentally ill homeless man to death”

Obama's Soviet Mistake. 48555.jpegPravda – by Xavier Lerma, November 19, 2012

Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.

After Obama was elected in his first term as president the then Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January of 2009. Ignored by the West as usual, Putin gave insightful and helpful advice to help the world economy and saying the world should avoid the Soviet mistake.   Continue reading “Obama’s Soviet Mistake”

Here and Now

Seventy passengers on a weekend flight from Austin to Phoenix are being asked to seek testing for tuberculosis, after a fellow passenger was removed from the plane by health authorities at landing.

U.S. Airways officials say the passenger was initially cleared to fly, but the crew was informed midway through the flight by the Transportation Security Administration that his status was changed to “no fly.”   Continue reading “Passengers Urged To Undergo TB Testing After Potential Exposure”

Bearing Arms – by Bob Owens

Yesterday, Breitbart News ran two stories related to the closure of the Doe Run primary lead smelter in Herculaneum, Missouri. Doe Run was the last primary smelter in the United States, which turned galena ore into the purest form of lead. The facility was unable to meet tightening EPA demands, and chose to shut down.

Allen West—a patriot I greatly admire—claimed that the closure amounted to backdoor gun control from the EPA, which certainly feels right considering the rogue nature of the agency and the rogue nature of our current President. Unfortunately, his claim is incorrect.   Continue reading “No, the Doe Run primary smelter closure isn’t going to affect ammo prices, and it isn’t backdoor gun control”

“…if I had foreseen the use those people designed to make of their victory, there would have been no surrender at Appomattox Courthouse; no sir, not by me.  Had I foreseen these results of subjugation, I would have preferred to die at Appomattox with my brave men, my sword in my right hand.” ~ Robert E. Lee

The Lone Star Watchdog

When will these local Police Chiefs and Elected County Sheriffs better count the cost before they sign an agreement with Homeland security. When there is money from DHS or some other Federal agency. There are strings attached that violate state and Federal laws they are asked to do. This federal grant money serves to federalize local law enforcement as a force multiplier. Our local law enforcement in many areas in America is now paid mercenaries as independent contractors. Gun Banner Dianne FeinsteinAmmoLand – by Dean Weingarten

Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)-  There are many people who advocate for bans on guns, but most of them are smart enough to know that the way to obtain such bans is incrementally, as has been done for the last 75 years.

Why can’t you walk down to the corner hardware store and buy a gun muffler for your pistol or rifle, like they do in Finland? Because a gun ban passed in 1934.   Continue reading “Combating the ‘No One Wants to Ban Guns Lie’”

Breaking the Back of The NJ Gun Control CartelAmmoLand

New Jersey –-(Ammoland.com)- It is no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention that New Jersey is controlled by a powerful Gun Control Cartel.

They are particularly well-funded and have taken control of both houses and the Judicial Branch of our state government.

There may still be some hope of salvaging the Executive branch if we work fast and smart. The key to our success is understanding that they are indeed a Cartel and that they don’t play by the same rules as you and I.   Continue reading “Breaking the Back of The NJ Gun Control Cartel”

Right to Keep and Bear ArmsAmmoLand – by Dean Weingarten

Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)- In Louisiana, a court case is headed to the Supreme Court, based on the right to keep and bear arms amendment that was overwhelmingly approved by voters last year.

The case is one of those that people point at as showing the insanity of the law.  Rico Webb, a 22 year old man with no criminal record, was in his girl friend’s car when it was stopped for a broken taillight.   He had possession of a legal handgun, and he told police that he had a “blunt” (small cigar with marijuana filler) in his backpack.   Continue reading “Louisiana Right to Arms Amendment To Be Tested”

Identical Twin Studies Prove Homosexuality is Not GeneticOrthodox Net – by Mark Ellis

Eight major studies of identical twins in Australia, the U.S., and Scandinavia during the last two decades all arrive at the same conclusion: gays were not born that way.

“At best genetics is a minor factor,” says Dr. Neil Whitehead, PhD. Whitehead worked for the New Zealand government as a scientific researcher for 24 years, then spent four years working for the United Nations and International Atomic Energy Agency. Most recently, he serves as a consultant to Japanese universities about the effects of radiation exposure. His PhD is in biochemistry and statistics.   Continue reading “Identical Twin Studies Prove Homosexuality is Not Genetic”

Conservative Truth – by Alan Caruba

Let me begin by saying that the deal the U.S. struck with Iran on November 24 is so criminally stupid that mobs with torches and pitchforks should be surrounding the White House and Department of State demanding that the President and Secretary of State resign.

How many times does the United States have to make really bad deals with really bad nations? And then call it progress!   Continue reading “The Prospect of World War Three”

WASHINGTON –  The House is expected to vote late Monday on renewing a 25-year-old law that bans the production of undetectable guns, in an age when new technology could open the door to at-home production of plastic weapons.

The law itself is set to expire on Dec. 9, and lawmakers are divided on whether to renew it.   Continue reading “House set to vote on bill banning plastic guns amid 3D printing worries”

BANGKOK –  Thailand’s prime minister said Monday she is willing to do anything it takes to end violent protests against her government and restore peace, but cannot accept the opposition’s “unconstitutional” demand to hand power to an unelected council.

Yingluck Shinawatra’s comments, broadcast in a televised news conference, highlighted the unusual political deadlock Thailand finds itself in with no clear solution in sight even as violence on the streets continues to rise.   Continue reading “Thai Prime Minister says protesters’ demands unacceptable as violence continues”
