The Lonely Conservative

Federal officials showed up at a resort hotel in Grand Island, NY looking for a place to house some of the illegal immigrant children flooding across our border due to “misperceptions” of Obama administration policies. They could have saved themselves a trip if they had bothered to do a Google search. It turns out the hotel they thought was vacant is actually thriving and booked solid. Oops!

Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki claimed on Sunday that Israel may have staged the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers 10 days ago to deflect international criticism from it, arguing that the Jewish state had no proof that Hamas was behind the abduction.

The Border Patrol on Sunday announced the cancellation of its plans to fly hundreds of illegal Central American migrants from south Texas to California for processing, but said the plans could be reinstated.

On Saturday, the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector Chief Paul Beeson said that nearly 300 Central American migrants would be moved from south Texas to California for processing. Nine Syrian military targets have been hit by Israeli jets and guided missiles, the IDF says, claiming it was a decisive response to a series of cross-border shootings to protect the citizens of Israel.

Gun control activists have recently renewed their efforts to gain ground on Capitol Hill.  As we reported this week, they continue to exploit high-profile national tragedies in an attempt to push their anti-gun agenda. Three people involved with defacing a Scottish mosque by wrapping strips of bacon around its door handles have been sent to jail.

18-year-old Chelsea Lambie and 39-year-old Douglas Cruikshank were sentenced to one year in prison and nine months in prison, respectively, for their involving in the insensitive act that took place on January 31 of last year. However, just as they lost control of the real estate market, Bloomberg reports China is moving quickly to become the first country to operate the world’s most powerful atomic reactor even as France’s nuclear regulator says communication and cooperation on safety measures with its Chinese counterparts are lacking. France has a lot riding on a smooth roll out of China’s European Pressurized Reactors (EPRs) as it is home to Areva, which developed the next-gen reactor, and utility EdF, which oversees the project. French regulators, speaking in parliament, warned, “the Chinese safety authorities lack means.
