Industry illegally injected about 3 billion gallons of fracking wastewater into central California drinking-water and farm-irrigation aquifers, the state found after the US Environmental Protection Agency ordered a review of possible contamination.

According to documents obtained by the Center for Biological Diversity, the California State Water Resources Board found that at least nine of the 11 hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, wastewater injection sites that were shut down in July upon suspicion of contamination were in fact riddled with toxic fluids used to unleash energy reserves deep underground. The aquifers, protected by state law and the federal Safe Water Drinking Act, supply quality water in a state currently suffering unprecedented drought.   Continue reading “California aquifers contaminated with billions of gallons of fracking wastewater”

The Texas Department of State Health Services has completed testing of the specimen submitted Thursday by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. The result is negative for Ebola.

The test was to evaluate the case of a sheriff’s deputy who sought medical care yesterday.

The deputy, who does not have a fever and is doing better, had been briefly inside the apartment of a man who later died of Ebola. The Ebola patient had already been hospitalized so the deputy did not have direct contact with him. All known cases of Ebola have occurred through direct contact with blood or other bodily fluids or exposure to contaminated objects, such as needles.   Continue reading “Sheriff’s deputy tests negative for Ebola”

One of the passengers of the MH17 plane shot down over Ukraine was wearing an oxygen mask, Dutch Foreign Minister Franz Timmermans has said. This new revelation contradicts assumptions that all 298 people on board the plane died instantly.

Timmermans’ comments suggest that the Boeing-777-200 shot down three months ago might not have fallen apart immediately after the aircraft was hit, killing all people aboard, if at least one passenger remained conscious and managed to pull an oxygen mask on.   Continue reading “MH17 victim found wearing oxygen mask – Dutch FM”

The cremation of a body weighing at least 500 pounds was the likely cause of a fire that broke out at a Virginia crematory on Wednesday. Authorities said the “rather large” cadaver caused excessive heat and oil during cremation.

The fire at Southside Cremation Services in Henrico County, Virginia was likely caused when the cremation furnace overheated, according to fire officials.   Continue reading “500-lb. body causes fire at Virginia crematory”

The spread of Ebola presents a $33 billion threat to West African economies says the World Bank. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is pouring billions into halting the deadliest Ebola outbreak in history, from airport screenings to military aid in Africa.

In a worst case scenario, in the next four months there could be 1.4 million Ebola cases, according to a September 23 report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This would be a 175-fold increase from the current 8,033 cases. So far 3,879 people have died from the outbreak, with the majority of deaths occurring in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.   Continue reading “Killer cost of Ebola: World Bank warns of $33bn doomsday scenario”

CHILPANCINGO, Mexico (AP) — Tens of thousands of teachers, activists and residents marched and blocked a major highway in the Guerrero state capital Wednesday to protest the disappearance of 43 teachers college students and demand that authorities find them.

The protesters shut down the highway that links Mexico City with Acapulco, marching behind a banner asking “Who governs Guerrero?” — a reference to the fact that local police working with organized crime have been implicated in the disappearances in the city of Iguala.   Continue reading “Protesters jam road demanding Mexico find students”

Twins Anthony and Andrew Johnson lived with each other in a quiet neighborhood in Tennessee. One helped treat the other’s diabetes. They tended their lawn together, went to the grocery store together and they were found dead together.

Their decomposing bodies were discovered in the spring by police who found their remains in recliner chairs in their living room. Authorities determined at the time that they had been dead for about three years, but what killed them remained a mystery until Wednesday, when results of autopsies and toxicology exams showed Anthony Larry Johnson died of heart disease. Shortly afterward, his twin, Andrew Gary Johnson, died of diabetes.   Continue reading “Twins died together from diabetes, heart disease”

Alleged Ebola Faker Throws Scare into Christ HospitalOak Lawn Patch – by Lorraine Swanson

A woman who claimed she had traveled to Africa arrived at Advocate Christ Medical Center’s emergency room claiming to have Ebola-like symptoms turned out to be an Ebola faker.

On Sunday afternoon when Oak Lawn first responders were dealing with the massive traffic accident at 95th Street and Cicero Avenue, a woman went to Advocate Christ’s emergency room around 5 p.m. seeking treatment for diarrhea, vomiting and fever.

“This patient self-reported having recently traveled to Africa. Out of an abundance of caution, we notified the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Cook County Department of Public Health and the Illinois Department of Public Health,” hospital spokeswoman Katie Eller said.   Continue reading “Alleged Ebola Faker Throws Scare into Christ Hospital”

Stock Market Collapse - Public DomainThe Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

There are some who believe that the next great financial crash will not begin in the United States.  Instead, they are convinced that a financial crisis that begins in Europe or in Japan (or both) will end up spreading across the globe and take down the U.S. too.  Time will tell if they are ultimately correct, but even now there are signs that financial trouble is already starting to erupt in both Germany and Japan.  German stocks have declined 10 percent since July, and that puts them in “correction” territory.  In Japan, the economy is a total mess right now.  According to figures that were just released, Japanese GDP contracted at a 7.1 percent annualized rate during the second quarter and private consumption contracted at a 19 percent annualized rate.  Could a financial collapse in either of those nations be the catalyst that sets off financial dominoes all over the planet?   Continue reading “Serious Financial Trouble Is Erupting In Germany And Japan”

Sharyl Attkisson, the former CBS reporter who was stonewalled while investigating the Benghazi scandal, said the federal government’s lack of transparency regarding the Enterovirus outbreak is leading some Americans to believe that it could be related to the thousands of illegal immigrant juveniles from Central America who have been released in every state.

The polio-like Enterovirus has killed five children, most recently a four-year-old New Jersey boy who went to sleep last Friday asymptomatic and was found dead. Writing on her new website, Attkisson said “the origin could be entirely unrelated” but because the “CDC hasn’t suggested reasons for the current uptick or its origin,” some are questioning “whether the disease is being spread by the presence of tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children from Central America admitted to the U.S. in the past year.”   Continue reading “Attkisson: Lack of Transparency About Enterovirus Outbreak Causing Americans to Question if Illegals Responsible”

MCALLEN, Texas — A member of a drug smuggling group with ties to the Gulf Cartel that operated along the Texas Border will spend close to 16 years in prison for his role in the drug trafficking saga that included Santeria rituals, drug rip-offs and explosive devices.

On Tuesday afternoon, Francisco Javier “El Tampico” Maya went before U.S. District Judge Hilda Tagle in Brownsville who sentenced him to 189 months in prison. Maya had previously been convicted in January after a two day trial of the charges of conspiracy to possess more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana and possession of more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana, court records show.   Continue reading “Texas Drug Smugglers Tied to Witchcraft, Cartels and House Explosion”

There’s a mysterious phenomenon that keeps happening to alternative media journalists lately, and it seems to be a side effect of Ebola.

Mainstream stories are being removed from the internet without a trace.

The first I heard of this was when a colleague, Mac Slavo, of SHTFplan wrote an article entitled “Disaster Teams Were Notified Months Ago They Would Be Activated in October”. The article was based on a twitter exchange with a large government supplier of emergency response products specializing in “high risk events”.   Continue reading “Three Ebola Stories the Mainstream Media Literally Scrubbed From the Internet”

A Nebraska school district has instructed its teachers to stop referring to students by “gendered expressions” such as “boys and girls,” and use “gender inclusive” ones such as “purple penguins” instead.

“Don’t use phrases such as ‘boys and girls,’ ‘you guys,’ ‘ladies and gentlemen,’ and similarly gendered expressions to get kids’ attention,” instructs a training document given to middle-school teachers at the Lincoln Public Schools.   Continue reading “School Told to Call Kids ‘Purple Penguins’ Because ‘Boys and Girls’ Is Not Inclusive to Transgender”
