New Delhi: India has taken seriously the reports that Sri Lanka has permitted another Chinese attack submarine to dock at a Lankan port.

According to some media reports, the second docking may soon take place.

The presence of Chinese submarines across Palk Straits has troubled the Indian government which is making another call to Lankan authorities but this time they want to convey strong displeasure. One of Israel’s most influential business conferences, the 12th Go4Israel Conference, was held last week at the Hilton Tel Aviv, and placed particular attention on China. More than 1,000 participants took part in the conference including international and local entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders.

The Afghan police service has been forced to sell its arms to the Taliban, as officers have not received wages for months. Some have even joined the insurgents, local Khaama Press newspaper reported.

Islamic State militants claim to have gained control of the Jahar gas field in central Homs province from the Syrian army.

A 28-year-old woman was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison for planting a pistol in a child’s backpack and anonymously reporting him to the school.

Heather Hodges, who pleaded guilty to unlawful carrying of a weapon on restricted premises in exchange for the dismissal of two lesser charges, was the live-in girlfriend of the boy’s father but they had struggled as a blended family.

The police chief in Racine, Wisconsin has promised an internal review after a bizarre neighborhood dispute ended with a SWAT team killing a family pet.

Resident Kim Polk told WITI that it all began when a neighborhood man’s dog had crapped in her yard on Saturday afternoon.

Jokes and sarcasm aside, a DC Metropolitan police officer is lucky to be alright after a man approached his cruiser and smashed an ax into his driver side window. The officer was unharmed during the attack, but did suffer a dislocated shoulder while wrestling with the attacker.

China has developed and successfully tested a highly accurate laser defense system against light drones. The homemade machine boasts a two-kilometer range and can down “various small aircraft” within five seconds of locating its target.
