Officials in Marseille, France’s second largest city, have been forced to scrap a project requiring homeless people to wear yellow triangles pinned to their clothing after a public uproar.

Former US congressman Ron Paul says American lawmakers are seeking to drag the United States into a war with Russia by passing an anti-Russia resolution.
The former presidential candidate wrote in an article on Sunday that the US House of Representatives last week voted overwhelmingly in favor of an anti-Russia resolution “so full of war propaganda that it rivals the rhetoric from the chilliest era of the Cold War.”
“We must keep an eye on those Members of Congress who vote to take us closer to war with Russia,” Paul said. “The hawks in Washington believe that last month’s election gave them free rein to start more wars. NEW YORK (AP) — Ken Weatherwax, who played the child character Pugsley on “The Addams Family” television series in the 1960s, has died. He was 59.

Washington (CNN) — Thousands of Marines have been put on a higher state of alert around the world in advance of the anticipated release of a Senate report on coercive interrogation techniques as a precaution, a U.S. defense official tells CNN.

Gaithersburg (WUSA9) – A doctor killed in Monday’s Gaithersburg, Md. small jet crash is linked to a 2010 crash which was also heading to the Montgomery County Airpark.
The 66-year-old North Carolina doctor and businessman is identified in records as owning both crashed airplanes and may have been the pilot of at least one.

U.S. officials are suing Deutsche Bank and a other financial companies, accusing them of engaging in an “abusive scheme” to defraud taxpayers of more than $190 million in federal income taxes, authorities said Monday.

Beloit, Wisconsin, police chief Norm Jacobs is asking city residents to volunteer to allow police to search their homes for guns.
Jacobs believes this will put the problems associated with “gun violence” front and center in residents’ minds.
According to Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), Jacobs asked for volunteers because that’s how he has seen healthcare providers handle viral outbreaks.
