The forensic analysis on AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman’s body confirmed that there were no traces of gunpowder on his hands. However, experts explained that it does not contradict suicide hypothesis.

Prosecutor Viviana Fein, who leads the investigation of Nisman’s death, said this was not an “unexpected result” and that it “does not rule out the possibility that Nisman had fired the gun himself.”   Continue reading “No gunpowder traces found on Nisman’s hands, tests ordered on alleged weapon”

There was nothing stealthy about the arrival of the Viktor Leonov CCB-175, which was moored to a pier in Old Havana where cruise ships often dock. But the visit was not officially announced by Cuban authorities.   Continue reading “Russian spy ship in Havana on eve of US-Cuba talks”

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — The first time James Holmes appeared in court, he wore chains and a jail jumpsuit and looked dazed, with his hair dyed a comic-book shade of orange.

As the first day of jury selection ended Tuesday in the Colorado theater shooting case, it was a far different Holmes at the defense table: The jail uniform was replaced by khaki slacks, a light-colored dress shirt and a blue blazer. His hair, now a dark brown, was neatly trimmed.   Continue reading “Jury selection starts in Colorado theater shooting trial”

In a breathless, Drudge Report-linked headline, the Washington Post reported last week that the “Majority of U.S. public school students are in poverty.”

A Huffington Post piece by Rebecca Klein, published 12 minutes earlier, sported a similar headline, “More Than Half Of American Schoolchildren Now Live In Poverty.”

The only problem with these headlines, and the stories beneath them, is that they aren’t true—not even close. Both pieces were triggered by a report from the Southern Education Foundation.   Continue reading “Media Misrepresents Poverty Rate of US Children by More Than Double”

Every year, members of the World Economic Forum gather in the small resort town of Davos, Switzerland to discuss the most pressing issues that are effecting the global economy. “As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air – however slight – lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.” ― Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas

Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, Members of Congress, my fellow Americans:

We are fifteen years into this new century. Fifteen years that dawned with terror touching our shores; that unfolded with a new generation fighting two long and costly wars; that saw a vicious recession spread across our nation and the world. It has been, and still is, a hard time for many.

But tonight, we turn the page.   Continue reading “President Obama’s State of the Union Address — Remarks As Prepared for Delivery”

Within the forced anonymity of cold, hard concrete walls and non-stop,  overhead fluorescent lights, rap musician, Brandon, “Tiny Doo,” Duncan remains in jail. It’s been almost six months. Duncan has no criminal record and knows that he was not involved in any crime.

The San Diego City district attorney agrees.

However, a new fabricated crime, uniquely reasoned , intends to incarcerate Duncan for at least twenty-five years. Or the rest of his life. For this crime he is ostensibly guilty: music.   Continue reading “Did Rap Music Pull the Trigger? Part 1”

Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi is a traitor.Weasel Wed Candidate

Patriot or Traitor

There are so many treasonous acts and complaints about United States Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and cries for justice from so many walks of American life, it’s hard to decide where to start.

POLITICAL BEGINNINGS:

During her 1987 congressional race, Pelosi described herself as a “rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth person in the Democratic Party.” “I’m a hardened Democrat and have never voted for a Republican in my life,” she added. In some of her campaign literature, Pelosi derided the sitting U.S. President, Ronald Reagan, as a man who “has no compassion” and “has no vision.” “For the past two decades,” she boasted, “I have battled Ronald Reagan whenever he has attempted to disenfranchise people, jeopardize our environment or risk our future…. Now as a candidate for Congress, I want to bring my longtime battle with Ronald Reagan to the floor of the House of Representatives.”   Continue reading “Nancy Patricia D’Alesandro Pelosi is a traitor.”
