Three people were found dead Tuesday in a fire that consumed part of a Deer Park-area house owned by a lieutenant in the Spokane Fire Department.

Fire officials were unable to contact Lt. Terrance Barnett-Canfield after the early-morning blaze at 20 E. Clock - Public DomainEnd of the American Dream – by Michael Snyder

There has been a lot of talk about things that are going to happen in September, but something that has been almost totally overlooked is the fact that the UN Security Council is likely to be voting on a UN resolution which will establish a Palestinian state at that time.  Right now, France is working on a proposed resolution which would give formal UN Security Council recognition to the Palestinians, would declare that a divided Jerusalem is the capital of both Israel and a Palestinian state, and would set the 1967 borders as the baseline for future negotiations which would establish the final borders between the two nations.  Continue reading “Something Else Coming In September: A UN Resolution Establishing A Palestinian State”

The Organic Prepper

Nothing warms my prepper’s heart more than a good disaster movie that supports my hypotheses about a specific event, and the recent movie San Andreas was no exception.

Okay, sure, there was some pretty unrealistic stuff like when The Rock was driving a boat through post-tsunami San Francisco and just happened to find his daughter that he was looking for. The last time I went to San Francisco, my daughter and I had trouble finding each other on the first floor of Forever 21, for crying out loud.   Continue reading “San Andreas for Preppers: 12 Earthquake Survival Lessons from the Movie”

Washington Post – by Adam Taylor

The United States is bound by a number of treaties that could, in theory, force it to get involved in a war if an ally is attacked. Consider, for example, the situation in Ukraine, a non-member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. If a NATO ally were to find itself under similar threat from Russia, the U.S. may find itself duty bound to war.

Or alternatively, cast your mind to the South China Sea and its territorial disputes. If China were to engage militarily with the Philippines at some point in the near future, the U.S. may well be expected to step in to protect its ally: Since 1951, the U.S. and the Philippines have had a bilateral agreement for mutual defense.   Continue reading “Map: The U.S. is bound by treaties to defend a quarter of humanity”

AUSTIN, Tex. (May 31, 2015) – With just hours remaining before final deadlines in the 84th legislative session today, the Texas state House gave final approval to a bill that represents a first step towards gold and silver as commonly-used legal tender in the state.

Introduced by State Rep. Do animals feel pain? Should they have rights like humans? These questions and others have been asked before on TrueActivist, and increasingly the response is that an individual should be honored – no matter their species – for who they are and what they might offer to the world.

We also recently reported that in the wake of controversy over the poaching of endangered animals, a number of airlines are now also refusing to ship hunting trophies.   Continue reading “Costa Rica Becomes The FIRST Nation To Ban Hunting”

The Israel Lobby tries to prevent reports and criticism of Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians by branding every critic of every policy of the extreme right-wing Israeli government an “anti-semite.” In other words, if you object to Israeli armed forces shooting down Palestinian children in the streets and then bombing the funerals of the kids the Israelis have already murdered, you hate Jews and are an anti-Semite.

The success that the Israel Lobby has enjoyed in imposing this twisted logic on Congress, the White House, the media, the universities and the insouciant American public is astonishing. As a consequence, Americans are no longer answerable to Christian morality but to the evil that the Israel Lobby represents.   Continue reading “Israel Is A Discredit To America”
