The invention of electricity transformed the lives of many. No longer were work days limited to the sun’s rays, and with longer hours to work with creative inspiration, inspired dreams could become reality.

But in many areas of the world, conveniences common to the Western world are still foreign. For example, 1 billion people currently experience energy poverty and have no means of illumination during the day or after dark. Thanks to Brazilian mechanic, Alfredo Moser, however, this can be changed.   Continue reading “How To Use Plastic Water Bottles And Bleach To Create LIGHT!”

Almost half of the people killed by police in Georgia since 2010 were unarmed or shot in the back according to a new investigation. More than one-third of those killed were shot at their own home after officers responded to a call for help or a domestic dispute.

A recent investigation from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution analyzed 184 fatal police shootings in the state of Georgia since 2010. According to the data, at least 70 people were shot in the back by police officers. Roughly one in six people were unarmed, while one in four exhibited signs of mental illness before their deaths. There is “strong” evidence that the U.S. military attack on a Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan two months ago constituted a criminal act, and should be investigated as such, Human Rights Watch said Monday in a letter to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter (pdf).

“The attack on the MSF hospital in Kunduz involved possible war crimes,” said the advocacy group’s Washington director Sarah Margon. “The ongoing U.S. inquiry will not be credible unless it considers criminal liability and is protected from improper command influence.”   Continue reading “Backing MSF, Human Rights Watch Says US Must Consent to War Crimes Probe”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — It’s not just a junkyard — or even a really big junkyard — but a living, breathing monument to Los Angeles pop culture. And now it’s headed for the dustbin of history itself.

For 54 years, Aadlen Brothers Auto Wrecking, in a moonscaped, god-forsaken-looking section of the San Fernando Valley, has collected far more than thousands of burned-out, smashed-up, rusted automobiles on its sprawling dirt and asphalt lot.   Continue reading “Final curtain coming down on giant Hollywood junkyard”

Sen. Rand Paul is pushing for a vote to restrict President Obama’s ability to enact new gun control regulations.

The Kentucky Republican, who is running for president, has introduced legislation that would decree any executive action on gun control that either infringes upon congressional authority or potentially violates the Second Amendment as “advisory only” until legislation that supported the action is passed by Congress.   Continue reading “Paul pushes new bill to thwart Obama action on gun control”

The vast majority of scientists, physicians, nurses, and public health educators trust that the ingredients in a vaccine have been individually and synergistically proven safe and effective. The public believes that these vaccines, aside from their specified virus(es), are sterile solutions, free from undesirable contaminants not listed on the manufacturers’ package inserts. When the pediatrician injects a vaccine into the muscle of a child, the parents’ unquestioning faith is that this is the case. In other words, we want to believe that vaccines have been generated under perfect conditions for the safety of children and ourselves.   Continue reading “Vaccines’ Dark Inferno … What Is Not on the Vaccine Insert Labels?”

Terrorism experts and mainstream media pundits have spent the last few months since the Paris terror attacks speculating over what type of targets ISIS or their sympathizers would attempt to hit next.

The deliberations of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were held in strict secrecy. Consequently, anxious citizens gathered outside Independence Hall when the proceedings ended in order to learn what had been produced behind closed doors. The answer was provided immediately.
