WEB Notes: You remember the glowing orb ceremony which kicked off the new “Global Center For Combating Extremist Ideology” right? 41 nations are making up this new “Arab-NATO” which have vowed to ‘wipe terrorists from the face of the earth‘. Just last week the new Saudi Crown Price called Iran’s Supreme Leader “the new Hitler of the Middle East”...

Of course this is not an original thought. Years ago we recall the former President of Iran being called “Hitler” as well. Nevertheless, it gets the point across that Iran is in the cross hairs.

On Saturday, writer Bee Shapiro published an article in The New York Timesentitled, “His Eye Makeup is Way Better Than Yours.

The Timestweeted it as such: “How teenage boys (and younger) wearing makeup are affecting beauty norms.”

The article shows many pictures of young boys making themselves pretty with makeup. Imagine the outcry if they had done this with young girls, trying to make them look “pretty.”   Continue reading “New York Times promoting sexualization of young boys”

I don’t watch the news often. But the news was playing at the family Thanksgiving gathering. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade was on, and the newscasters were discussing the extreme security measures taken by New York City.

The massive police presence was welcome according to the news. People were reportedly thanking police officers for their roles. The anchors attributed this attitude change to recent terrorist attacks and shootings.   Continue reading “Macy’s Parade Security Used to Promote Surveillance and Police State”

Last week, the Florida SWAT Association hosted the “35th Annual SWAT Round-Up International Competition and Vendor Trade Show” in Orlando. The event brought together law enforcement and military personnel from around the world to compete against each other, train in new tactics and technologies, and buy new weapons from arms dealers. At a time when Florida residents are acutely aware of the need for climate disaster and emergency preparedness, this use of resources to further escalate policing tactics is not only wasteful, but demonstrates the increasingly dangerous power of defense industry “solutions.”   Continue reading “How SWAT Team Expos Are Militarizing Police Departments Across the Country”

US officials said on Friday that the Pentagon is expected to concern confirm that there are “about 2,000” US ground troops in Syria, a major increase from the roughly 500 that they officially claim is the case.

The US has overtly lied about troop levels in Syria consistently throughout their deployment. Less than a month ago, Gen. James Jarrard told reporters the US had about 4,000 troops in the country, though the Pentagon at the time claimed he was wrong and the real number was only 503.   Continue reading “Pentagon to Admit to 2,000 Troops in Syria, Number Likely Far Higher”

JERUSALEM (AP) — Weeks ahead of the expected completion of a U.N. database of companies that operate in Israel’s West Bank settlements, Israel and the Trump Administration are working feverishly to prevent its publication.

While Israel is usually quick to brush off U.N. criticism, officials say they are taking the so-called “blacklist” seriously, fearing its publication could have devastating consequences by driving companies away, deterring others from coming and prompting investors to dump shares of Israeli firms. Dozens of major Israeli companies, as well as multinationals that do business in Israel, are expected to appear on the list.   Continue reading “Israel races to head off UN settlement ‘blacklist’”

ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA — A gunman opened fire outside an auto shop in Florida on Friday, killing one and injuring two others. With no apparent connection to anyone at the auto shop, the suspect opened fire indiscriminately.

You won’t hear about it in the headlines, because it was a thwarted mass shooting. Multiple employees at the auto shop were armed and ready to defend. And they did so, successfully.   Continue reading “Mass Shooting Stopped By Armed Citizens In FL, But You Won’t Hear About It In The News”

Arkansas Online – by Linda Satter

A mother’s 30-year quest to uncover secrets she hopes will shed light on her son’s mysterious death in 1987 has led a federal judge to order a private review of several tightly guarded government documents.

The documents may or may not reveal anything new about the death of Linda Ives’ 17-year-old son, Kevin, whose body was discovered before dawn on Aug. 23, 1987, alongside that of his friend, Don Henry, 16, on a dark stretch of Saline County railroad tracks. But the Benton woman says it’s time to find out.   Continue reading “Judge to look at files in 1987 deaths of 2 boys found on central Arkansas railroad tracks”

Baltimore, MD — Over the holiday weekend, the Baltimore Police Department has been scrambling to manage the media frenzy surrounding the mysterious death of Detective Sean Suiter. As we reported, Suiter was a whistleblower against officers in his own department and was set to testify against them in a massive corruption case just one day after his murder.

This revelation cast suspicion on the department itself and pointed to a possible conspiracy and cover-up. As expected, Commissioner Kevin Davis of the Baltimore PD came out strong against these accusations, which were even circling in the mainstream media after news of Suiter’s status as a whistleblower went public.   Continue reading “Baltimore Dept Switched Out Whistleblower Cop’s Partner The Day He Was Murdered With his Own Gun”

Asian military forces are rolling out killer robots for a range of battlefield roles as diplomats wrestle with legal semantics over efforts to control artificial intelligence (AI) powered weapons that many fear could trigger the next arms race.

Experts at a session of the UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW) in Geneva this week, attended by delegates from more than 80 nations, could not even agree on how to define the weapons. They have been struggling to answer the same question since 2013.   Continue reading “Rise of the killer machines”
