SEATTLE – Police and a small group of counter-protesters clashed in downtown Seattle on Sunday.

The counter-protesters carrying signs opposing hate and the KKK marched on Westlake Park on Sunday to meet a smaller group at a pro-Trump “Freedom Rally.” Most were peaceful, police said.

A small number of the counter-protesters were dressed black, and some were carrying pieces of wood and other potential weapons. EDINBURG, Texas — Police found 17 undocumented immigrants inside of a locked tractor-trailer in Texas on Sunday morning, according to Edinburg Police Department police Chief David White.

Police say the undocumented immigrants may have been locked inside of the tractor-trailer for eight to nine hours, according to Edinburg police Assistant Chief Oscar Treviño. Just one month after YouTube deleted a video of the United States air-dropping weapons to ISIS and claimed that it contained “violent or graphic content,” the video platform is now being criticized for implementing a new artificial intelligence program to monitor “extremist” content that is deleting videos that document U.S. war crimes.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government over the detention of three teens suspected of being gang members.

In federal court today, attorneys responding to a suit naming Gov. Rick Snyder as a defendant argued that the state of Michigan, which has been so intimately involved with Detroit Public Schools for almost 20 years, has no responsibility to ensure students in the district are able to learn to read.

The suit, brought by seven Detroit schoolchildren in September of last year,charged Gov. Snyder, the members of the Michigan Board of Education, and various other state officials with failing to provide an opportunity to learn.
