A policeman was shot dead while two others were seriously injured by a Kalashnikov-wielding gunman on the Champs Elysees in central Paris – just three days before the French presidential election.

The alleged ISIS gunman, identified as 39-year-old Karim C, pulled up in a car and opened fire on a police bus after it had stopped at a red light on the world famous avenue.

Cohasset police seized approximately 100 unsecured weapons including shotguns, rifles and pistols from 50 Doane St. Friday afternoon. A Navy unit out of Newport, R.I. took custody of five military-grade ordnance shells also found in the home.

Police received information from a credible source that the resident at that address had numerous unsecured rifles and shotguns strewn about his house and as a result, obtained a search warrant issued by a Clerk Magistrate at Quincy District Court. CBS News first reported a manhunt inside the Central Intelligence Agency in search of the source who provided thousands of top secret documents to Wikileaks, published in its “Vault 7” — which revealed the clandestine agency’s hacking tools and surveillance practices.

The U.S. Secret Service said it would end public access to a sidewalk along the south fence of the White House beginning on Wednesday night.

The sidewalk has been closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. since 2015 and will now be off-limits around the clock, the Secret Service said in a statement.

North Korean state media threatened to launch a “super-mighty pre-emptive strike” that would reduce South Korea and the United states “to ashes.”

The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper for North Korea’s ruling Worker’s Party, wrote, “In the case of our super-mighty pre-emptive strike being launched, it will completely and immediately wipe out not only U.S. imperialists’ invasion forces in South Korea and its surrounding areas but the U.S. mainland and reduce them to ashes,” according to Reuters.
