SAN FRANCISCO — Uber has been sending self-driving trucks on delivery runs across Arizona since November, the first step in what promises to be a freight transportation revolution that could radically reshape the jobs of long-haul truckers.

After testing its technology earlier in 2017, Uber began contracting with trucking companies to use its own autonomous Volvo big rigs to take over loads as they traverse the state, it disclosed.    Continue reading “Uber trucks start shuttling goods across Arizona — by themselves”

Seattle, WA — In the wake of the Florida shooting, politicians, police, and activists alike are scrambling to find ways to prevent the next tragic attack. Without hesitation, last week, notorious gun-grabber Senator Dianne Feinstein, sat next to Donald Trump’s and likely salivated over his remarks as he called for the removal of due process and to “take the guns first.” However, this practice of taking guns without due process is already underway in the land of the free.

Citing Nikolas Cruz as the reason for advocating the removal of due process, the anti-gun activists in D.C. are claiming he should’ve had his guns taken which would have prevented the tragedy. Sadly, however, they are ignoring the fact that he was accused of multiple felonies—and should’ve never been able to purchase a gun in the first place—but law enforcement failed to act on any of it.  Continue reading “It Begins: Seattle Cops Conduct Nazi-Style Gun Confiscations: No Laws Broken, No Charges, No Arrests”

In a move that’s baffling at best and rather appalling at worst, Facebook has been busted asking users if they think it’s alright for adults to solicit “sexual pictures” from minors on its platform. While this may sound ridiculous on the surface — because it is — nevertheless, it happened.

On Sunday, the social media behemoth sent surveys out to a group of its users with questions on the issue of child grooming, the process of adults befriending children for the purposes of sexual abuse or other nefarious ends like trafficking and prostitution.  Continue reading “FB Asks Users If It Should Allow Pedophiles to Ask Kids for Sexual Pictures”

Score another diplomatic victory for Trump, whose hard line negotiating tactic appears to have generated a dramatic – and favorable for market – outcome. Moments ago futures spiked, 10Y yields jumped and the USDJPY bounced about 106 on what the FT dubbed a “diplomatic breakthrough” that North and South Korea have agreed to hold direct talks between their leaders with North Korea signalling it is willing to abandon its nuclear program “if regime security can be guaranteed.”  Continue reading “Breakthrough: North Korea Ready To Denuclearize “If Regime Safety Is Guaranteed””

Moments ago, president Trump tweeted “Federal Judge in Maryland has just ruled that “President Trump has the right to end DACA.” President Obama had 8 years to fix this problem, and didn’t. I am waiting for the Dems, they are running for the hills!”

What he was referring to is that on Monday, a Maryland federal judge gave the Trump administration a win over a lawsuit challenging the DOJ’s ability to rescind the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.   Continue reading “Federal Judge Says Trump Within His Authority To End DACA”

SAN FRANCISCO — The Trump administration will not immediately have to award California a grant being withheld over concerns the state is a sanctuary for people in the country illegally, a federal judge said Monday.

The amount of money at issue – $1 million – was relatively small and was at this point only delayed, not denied, U.S. District Judge William Orrick said. While he rejected the state’s request for a preliminary injunction to turn over the money, he also rejected a request by the U.S. Department of Justice to dismiss California’s lawsuit.   Continue reading “Trump administration can withhold grant from California over ‘sanctuary’ concerns, judge rules”

Caliburger, a restaurant in Pasadena, California, has a new employee named Flippy. But this fry cook is different. It’s equipped with 6-axis arms and Artificial Intelligence. Flippy is a robot that unerringly cooks the perfect burger, every single time. And it’s helping to usher in a dependent society I’ll call modern feudalism.

Not only does Flippy cook the perfect burger, but the robot doesn’t need smoke breaks, doesn’t complain about raising the minimum wage, and doesn’t show up late for work. Flippy is there all the time, and once the robot is paid for, it is a lifer without any further paycheck except some maintenance costs. Sorta like a robot slave you can buy.   Continue reading “How Flippy the Robot Fry Cook Will Move Us One Step Closer to Modern Feudalism”

WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court is standing by a ruling that calls for the removal or destruction of a cross-shaped, 40-foot monument on public land that has towered over a busy intersection for nearly 100 years.

In a closely divided vote, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit refused to reconsider an earlier decision that found government funding for the 40-foot-tall memorial in suburban Prince George’s County, Maryland, to be an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.   Continue reading “Court upholds removal of cross-shaped monument on public land in Md.”

An ounce of gold will cost $10,000 as soon as global currencies crash and central banks have to appeal to a gold-backed monetary system, according to Byron King, editor of Jim Rickards’ Gold Speculator.

“If you take the global money supply, back it with 40 percent gold, you need $10,000 gold to make the math work, and that’s just using a 40 percent backing,” he said in an interview with Kitco News on the sidelines of the annual event set by Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). “And it has to do with the eventual demise of modern currencies.”   Continue reading “Imminent collapse of US dollar & other major currencies will push gold to $10,000 – bullion analyst”
